UserCrowd was rebranded not long ago. The company changed their name from UsibilityHub to UserCrowd. When they did this it seems that the site now has more tests that you can take. This is an international website and anyone can join. Here you will be doing really short user tests on websites or even apps. They can even ask you for your opinion on different logos or other types of information a developer is looking for the opinion from the public.

How Does it Work?
  • Like all sites, you must first join.
  • Here you can only join with your email address and password.
  • The site will ask you several questions regarding your age, your country, and what languages you speak.
  • They will also make you verify our phone number. You must enter your phone number and they will send you an SMS with a verification code. Before you can finish the sign-up process you must enter this code.
  • The site will verify your time zone and set this up for you.
  • They will also want to know how many hours you work on your computer each day.
  • They ask you if you want to set up your push notifications on the site.
  • This is a really good idea. If you have them turned on you can receive notifications of a new test that is available for you to take.
How Do The Tests Work?
  • The tests are super simple and easy to take. You don't need a screen recorder or even a microphone to take the tests. They are all done in your web browser.
  • The company can show you a website for a few seconds. After this, they will give you a few questions to answer. The questions are simple and deal with what you remember about the website you just saw.
  • Normally, it takes less than a minute to take the test and give your feedback.
  • You can also be shown a logo or a set of logos and asked which one you like better. You must give your feedback and tell them why you like this one.
  • You'll earn points for each test that you take. The test points are 1 to 5 points for the tests.
How Are You Paid?
  • The company uses PayPal to pay you with.
  • You'll need $10 in your account before you can request your payment.
  • Each point you earn on the site is equal to $0.10.
  • You can earn $0.10 to $0.50 for each test that you take.
  • You need to request your payment from the company.
  • It normally takes 30 days to process your payment.
The site has improved since it rebranded. However, what I don't like is how long it takes to be paid by the company.

Has anyone joined this site and how do you like it since it was rebranded?

I sometimes receive 4-5 test per week from them, but I haven't been too lucky regarding the prices. I get a lot of tests that even tho aren't time-consuming and only last 1-2 minutes, are only worth $0.1, so it's hard to reach the threshold. My rating is still 100%.

@sashenka It's good that you get quite a number of tests from the site. I almost forgot about this site, and finally I received an email saying I have an available test just now. I chose to receive email notifications, so I guess that means I never have any available tests for months or even more than a year.

I just received the email notification regarding a test. It's written in Chinese, and worth 20 cents. I think this is the first time I got a test not in English. Hopefully there will be more tests for me. My balance is now $1.10. It'll surely take me quite some time to reach the payout, as I might not get even one test in a month. :p

I've been receiving tests in three languages from them, but most of the invitations I get are in English. As for the number of invites I get, that has decreased considerably. This month I have received 2 test only - once every two weeks. I remember reading somewhere that they have a small staff and some might be on vacation, but I don't know.

I used to get a lot of tests from them before they made the changes to the site, but now I rarely get any tests and I am 40 cents away from cashing out. Maybe it will take me months.. I did get an email about a week ago but it was at 7.30 in the morning, and I was fast asleep at that time. Hopefully something will come up soon.

Yes, I also earned some money with this website while I was reviewing it on my blog. I decided to try it out so I can do a better review and it was really good.

Among all the user testing websites out there, this is one of the easiest for anyone to join and start earning immediately because most of the others, require a video recording of your experience. The model of usabilityhub is different. No video recording or audio involved. Just answer few questions.

The best part about them is that, they have a desktop notification settings which when you turn on, it will notify you instantly when there is any test for you. This way you will never miss a test.

While other similar websites notify you by email, sometimes before you get to check your email, the test may have been completed by someone else. But this website is different.

I have been with UserCrowd for a couple of years, unfortunately, I have not been able to do ANYTHING because I receive "test available" emails at 2-3 A.M. You have a limited time-frame to do this test. Darn time zones, lol. So my account over 2 years is Zero progress/money. Best wishes!

I WILL say, it is legit, from what I researched years ago and user reviews with PP

Has anyone gotten ANY tests within the past few months? I only need 30 more cents to cashout, but I've had nothing for the past half year or so. Sometimes they'll send me an e-mail notification saying that there's a survey available, but it's always gone when I try to do it. Kind of frustrating to sit at $9.70 for a year and not being able to cashout.

I stopped getting tests for months at $7 but started getting them a few weeks ago. But almost all the ones I got were mobile only so I couldn't take them :(

I do get email notifications once in a while, but I suppose the quota is very limited, as most of the time I couldn't manage to catch them. There was once last week when I was just checking the email and the email notification came in, I managed to grab it. It's a 40 cent test. After some time, I saw another email notification regarding another 40 cent test, but I didn't manage to grab it.

This could interest me. But nevertheless, I suppose those tests you speak of are also surveys.
As a result, are there only questions in English, or in other languages? (as for example, I need question Italian language).
Thank you.

English only. And no they are not surveys. They mainly ask your opinion on the looks of a app, or webpage, asking which look you prefer, and then ask you to say a few words about why you prefer that look

You can set the language at Settings > Your profile. Though most of the time I received tests in English, I remember I received tests in Chinese once or twice as I set that language in my profile. I think it depends whether there are any tests written in the languages you prefer.

It's not English only, thought you'll receive more opportunities if you can answer in English. You can choose what languages you speak/are fluent in and you'll get some tests in those languages too. I've gotten tests in Japanese and Chinese before.

Sounds like a good little user testing service. I've just signed up and hope to receive some tests soon. Looks like a nice, simple user interface and I like that it doesn't require microphone or recording.

Don't forget to set your Availability in the settings page. This will allow you to receive tests when you are around. Or you will get email/tests at very odd hours. ;)
I have had mine set, but still get email/tests outside off my selected "availability"

After not getting a survey for nearly half a year, I finally got my last survey last week and reached the minimum. I cashed out right away and they said it would take 30 days to process the payment.

To my surprise, it only took them 5 days (3 business days) to send me my money! Pleasantly surprised that it was so fast and they sent me the full amount (no deductions) too. So this site is still legit and paying, and they're processing payments faster than before.

Unfortunately, I'll still be quitting them as there are far too few tests available. After cashing out, I see that I now have 3-4 new tests available, but I know it will take at least another year or so of hawk-watching the site to earn another $10. So I'm going to call it quits now and use my time elsewhere.

I completely agree. I signed up 2 years ago. See here.
Despite my settings, receiving "tests" @3 am is not fesible.

I got test invitations more frequently than before, but the tests are always filled up very quickly unless I respond within a few minutes. I like that the test is usually very short and interesting, hence I don't mind working on it. It's good if the site gets more business and we'll get more tests to work on.

I just did a test this morning, which required me to tell whether I think a website name is safe to visit. It's simple and quick to do.
