UserCrowd was rebranded not long ago. The company changed their name from UsibilityHub to UserCrowd. When they did this it seems that the site now has more tests that you can take. This is an international website and anyone can join. Here you will be doing really short user tests on websites or even apps. They can even ask you for your opinion on different logos or other types of information a developer is looking for the opinion from the public.

How Does it Work?
  • Like all sites, you must first join.
  • Here you can only join with your email address and password.
  • The site will ask you several questions regarding your age, your country, and what languages you speak.
  • They will also make you verify our phone number. You must enter your phone number and they will send you an SMS with a verification code. Before you can finish the sign-up process you must enter this code.
  • The site will verify your time zone and set this up for you.
  • They will also want to know how many hours you work on your computer each day.
  • They ask you if you want to set up your push notifications on the site.
  • This is a really good idea. If you have them turned on you can receive notifications of a new test that is available for you to take.
How Do The Tests Work?
  • The tests are super simple and easy to take. You don't need a screen recorder or even a microphone to take the tests. They are all done in your web browser.
  • The company can show you a website for a few seconds. After this, they will give you a few questions to answer. The questions are simple and deal with what you remember about the website you just saw.
  • Normally, it takes less than a minute to take the test and give your feedback.
  • You can also be shown a logo or a set of logos and asked which one you like better. You must give your feedback and tell them why you like this one.
  • You'll earn points for each test that you take. The test points are 1 to 5 points for the tests.
How Are You Paid?
  • The company uses PayPal to pay you with.
  • You'll need $10 in your account before you can request your payment.
  • Each point you earn on the site is equal to $0.10.
  • You can earn $0.10 to $0.50 for each test that you take.
  • You need to request your payment from the company.
  • It normally takes 30 days to process your payment.
The site has improved since it rebranded. However, what I don't like is how long it takes to be paid by the company.

Has anyone joined this site and how do you like it since it was rebranded?

I never cashed out and I also never got 6-7 tasks per day. Perhaps location also matters? I joined usability hub three months ago and the best I used to get were 2 tasks per day. And I remember once that I got a task but my wi-fi connection froze and when coming back the task was gone. My tester rating is 100% so I don't know. It's either a combination of demographics, location and timezones or simply the site is running dry.
It's possible location matters, but I doubt it. I don't live in a tier 1 country at the moment and I used to get a lot of tests. I do think the site is running dry though because I've been hearing a lot more complaints about it recently. I think the site started going downhill when it decreased the minimum threshold.

It was something related to privacy. I think the European Union made some changes with the purpose of trying to help people understand how their data is being handled by all these sites. I had to agree with the terms of all those sites all over again, but I never got anything from Usability hub.

Oh i understand now. Yeah im aware of the changes. I received tests AFTER the changes so i dont think its related.

However, i agree with @Miya cause my last test is in chinese (my mother language).

Yeah, I simply stopped getting tests because Chrome wasn't allowing me to enable push notifications for usability hub. I have no idea why is that. I may have overlooked some options? Not sure. Either way, since using Firefox I am getting one test every 2-3 days, which is extremely little if I ever want to cash out. I don't even want to do the math to see when that would be possible if the offers keep steady.

@Buddy I have only received tasks in English, which is not my native tongue, but then again, Chinese is probably more sought than that. Perhaps this might also be why I'm not getting more tests, even tho I don't think it's my English since I have a tester score of 100%.

My last test was on 9th july :( id much rather answering tests in english. I only have $1.9 now, not even sure i could ever make it to cash out.

@Buddy I haven't been on my laptop so much lately, but since using Firefox the tasks have increased. My latest test was two days ago. Granted, it only paid $0.1 but still. As for the cash out yeah, I doubt I'll be able to reach it, even tho I currently have $3.1.

Notifications seem to be working! Yesterday I got no test notifications, but today I got 3. Now I have $2.60. :D
Are you using Google Chrome? Because those weren't working for me, unlike Firefox where I do get notified whenever a new test is available. Lately, I've been getting a test every few days.
I have a friend who lives in UK and she's getting plenty of tests, so I suppose location, age and native language do matter.

I use Firefox 61.0.1 (on Linux Mint 19) and Google Chrome Mobile v68 (on Android 7.1.2) and got notifications on both browsers.
They also send tests to specific testers (not to the whole testers group), so it is possible to not get tests for weeks and then get 4 in a day.

Have you guys seen the notice? Apparently, they're going to get rebranded. Hopefully, this is going to be a good type of change and the site will keep going. I only have $4 in my balance and it's a long way till cashing out, but I really like the tasks.

I saw it too.

They're planning on changing it September 15th. The new website at usercrowd.com works but still says "Coming Soon".
They noted that your balance and account will carry over.

The reason they are changing it is because of the confusion between the two UsabilityHubs - one for businesses creating tests and one for testers. UserCrowd is going to be the UsabilityHub testers panel when it is fully changed.

Change is good, I guess. Hopefully separating UH means they have enough customers and will start sending out tests more frequently to all of its users. At least this shows the site is still active and trying to improve. It has been so long since I've received a test... I seriously thought the site was dying out.

Apparently, they are now HUGE tests in UserCrowd. I got assigned a 19-22 minute test that paid 22 credits ($2.20). :Greedy

It was so big I couldn't take it. I got a "Please don't take breaks" notification before I could even press Start (that's how long it look loading). :Arghh::Cry:

(@Mr. B can you change the title of the thread to UserCrowd instead of UsabilityHub because of the recent rebranding?)

I was really hoping for more from this site, I joined a couple weeks ago, maybe a bit longer, I have had 2 tests. And only have .20c. I did go for the notifications, but nothing :( I do hope it picks up soon, as I did enjoy the 2 tests that I did get :)

@LightningProd Congrats! The best paying test I got was $0.5, but then again, I don't live in an English speaking country so I guess I got lucky with that.
@msmoneybags I have all my notifs turned on and all, but I haven't received a test for more than a week now.

@LightningProd Congratulations to you on getting high pay tests! I haven't been working on the site perhaps for more than a year, as every time I checked on the site, there wasn't any test available for me. I learned from this thread and turned on the notification finally. I always thought I have to leave the page on then only I will receive the notification. Finally, I received a notification just now, and managed to complete two simple tests and earned 2 credits. Though it's still very far from the minimum payout, I hope I will get more tests or perhaps higher pay tests later. :)

@sashenka I had posted this on another forum, but your notifications can turn off, I dont know why must be a glitch. So I am logging in daily to the website and check to make sure the notification button is on, twice now I have found it was off. Now Im getting 3-5 tasks daily!!

Thanks for the tip. Indeed, it might be a glitch or something because whenever I checked my notifications they were off, even tho I had turned them on. I don't know. What browser are you using? I usually use Chrome, but it seems like Firefox is more reliable for usercrowd notifs.

I am using Chrome. Same here, so now thats the first thing I check into when doing my daily money earning sites. Check to see if that is still turned on! Not sure what is causing it to turn off. I just couldnt figure why I hadnt received any tasks while I was reading different places about others were getting 4-5 tasks a day. Logged in just to check and surprised it was off

@msmoneybags Thanks for sharing that, though I found it weird that your setting was changed. Perhaps it's the system mistake to just turn off all notifications sometimes? I'd better check mine later. I enjoy doing the simple tests on UserCrowd. Hopefully I will get more tests.
