What kind of websites do you think is better to use , from a side , technology is improving and world is going forward, so having a website that's full of nice design and stuff is good, but in the other side, there are things to sacrifice in order to have those fancy designs in your website and one of them is the browsing speed, unlike simple made websites, wikipedia is a good example, it has millions of visitors and its design is completely simple and basic,on the other side, having a website that's full of shiny stuff doesn't kinda offer the best experience for everyone as the computers that are used by the users differ from a user to another .
What's better to have from for you ? simple or a very well designed website ?
I personally would go for a simple website because that will save me a lot of effort and time and also the money to hire a designer for the banners and stuff

Agreed. But the thread was simple/fancy and I don't think luxurious actually fits in at all. A site can be both simple and luxurious at the same time - and it can be fancy and luxurious too. For a professional website I would aim for a very simple, but very luxurious website.
A simple website will never turn off the visitors because they will understand the platform quite well and it will be much more easier for them to navigate, but if the website is too cumbersome or too fancy, it may not be appealing to the readers and it may turn them off, which is not what every site owners would want.

You're right of course. But then if the site is too simple it may not be fuctional enough to make people interested in returning. It is something that all website owners have to try to get right - the site should be simple enough to understand, but still have a lot of fuctionality. Most important is to have nothing on the site that isn't useful. It sounds simple, but I think a lot of websites don't follow that rule!

I think that the simplicity comes with the understanding of the website and it as to do with how comprehensive the website is. The website must be very comprehensive and easy to understand and that is simplicity.

I try as much as possible to make my website very simple to understand and I do not use too many cumbersome words or infographics.

Sometimes it's better to use a straight forward website where there's nothing much except what it offers. Like you don't need to have a fancy website if the simple one serves its purpose well. Just put everything in their place and it will work ofcourse it shouldn't look problematic at all.. simplicity is beautiful when it comes to that.

It's a balancing act. The more function your website has the more complicated and overwhelming it may appear to new users, but the simplier it is, and the less function it has the higher the chance that people will find it useless after some time. Even Google, which was once the simpliest homepage on the net has now made their homepage more complicated.

Whatever business you're in, having a simple website will always be the best website design plan for you.Simplifying your website's design will increase conversions, enhance the user experience, save hosting costs, and even improve SEO. Simple designs have several advantages over more complex ones. They are simpler to comprehend, less expensive to build, and, should the need arise, simpler to repair.

That depends on the audience and the website's goal. A fancy website might be ideal if it needs to display a lot of complex information. On the other hand, a straightforward website might be preferable if the goal is to quickly provide information in an understandable format.

im in agreement with your statement. there's nothing better than a straightforward website where you can find everything clearly without having to open 10 pages just find something they need. and it's more pleasing for non tech people to navigate in a clear design web

I think it would be better to have both in one. A site could be fancy and at the same time simple to make use of. Get a professional to help you build a website for you how you want it. If a site is too complicated, people might loose interest in it.

I think it's more better to use a simple website, as it portrays the sign of professionalism and seriousness from the end of the site owner, rather than using a fancy website.

A simple website refers to a website with a minimal design and limited features, typically focused on delivering a clear message or providing basic information. A fancy website refers to a website with more complex design and features, such as interactive elements, animations, and multimedia content, aimed at creating a more immersive and engaging user experience.
The choice between a simple or fancy website will depend on the goals and needs of the website and its target audience. For example, a simple website may be more suitable for a small business or personal website that just needs to provide basic information, while a fancy website may be more appropriate for an e-commerce site or a website for a large corporation that wants to showcase its products or services in a more visually appealing way.

This depends on what you are trying to convey to the user, if you want a landing page to sell a product, then simplicity is the best but if you want to build an ecommerce website then a fancy website may be better because there are a lot of them out there and being fancy might help you to win customers.

Yes you are right it depends on the message you are trying to pass to your viewers or customers.
But though for me I like simple website because when it look too fancy it may some time affect the loading process. Though some people may like it to be fancy

If a simple website would solve your purpose, why unnecessarily make a website complex? The motto is always to keep things simple in this age where the attention span of users are very small.

Striking a balance between the two aspects of website design is the ideal strategy. User testing and an emphasis on user-centered design concepts can help with this. The demands and objectives of the website owner will determine the best type of website to create.

A simple website is usually easier to navigate, load, and understand for the users, as it has less clutter and distractions. A fancy website may offer more visual appeal, interactivity, and creativity, but it may also confuse or frustrate the users if it is not well-designed or optimized
