What kind of websites do you think is better to use , from a side , technology is improving and world is going forward, so having a website that's full of nice design and stuff is good, but in the other side, there are things to sacrifice in order to have those fancy designs in your website and one of them is the browsing speed, unlike simple made websites, wikipedia is a good example, it has millions of visitors and its design is completely simple and basic,on the other side, having a website that's full of shiny stuff doesn't kinda offer the best experience for everyone as the computers that are used by the users differ from a user to another .
What's better to have from for you ? simple or a very well designed website ?
I personally would go for a simple website because that will save me a lot of effort and time and also the money to hire a designer for the banners and stuff

WIkipedia has so much content and that is what attracts users. They don't need much else!

In my opinion sites needs to be utilise frameworks like React and Angular that provides super-fast DOM access and manipulation leaving much time for graphics rendering on browsers. Still,too many medias and images on websites sure to bog down its fast responsiveness.

Simple websites are being liked more than a fancy one.
You may add more functionalities to increase the beauty of your website but not fill it with multi colors.
You can have the example of Google, Wikipedia and YouTube which are simplest one but are having the maximum traffic.

People browse website for a main purpose which is searching for information and not entertain their eyes, having nice design is nice but the main thing is the content, i don't think anyone will browse your website just because it's nice .

i'm pretty much the same here, lot of complicated design and plugins are just making access to website more harder and slower to load, not to forget that navigating gets complicated as well

I will prefer well design website if it can actually allow fast browsing , less I will rather use a simple website that allows me to browse and navigate without much delays . don't like long loading g of pages .

Lots of animation in a site makes the site to load slow which can be very boring to the user. A fancy site has little or no animation on it .

Simple and easy straight to point kind of website over any fancy website for me anytime. Like you rightly said, those fanciness can disrupt the flow of the site because of it large size.

From a user's point of view, I definitely prefer a simple, fast and easy to use website. Nothing annoys me more than a site that takes forever to load.
