What kind of websites do you think is better to use , from a side , technology is improving and world is going forward, so having a website that's full of nice design and stuff is good, but in the other side, there are things to sacrifice in order to have those fancy designs in your website and one of them is the browsing speed, unlike simple made websites, wikipedia is a good example, it has millions of visitors and its design is completely simple and basic,on the other side, having a website that's full of shiny stuff doesn't kinda offer the best experience for everyone as the computers that are used by the users differ from a user to another .
What's better to have from for you ? simple or a very well designed website ?
I personally would go for a simple website because that will save me a lot of effort and time and also the money to hire a designer for the banners and stuff

Whenever you are developing a website you should always do this with the user in mind. There is absolutely no reason for building a fancy website when it is going to make the user to suffer for looking what brought them to the site in the first place. This is why the most important aspects of the website should always be visible no matter what.

Your website should be attractive but àlso simple because alot of the internet users that will be visiting it might not fully understand the content if it's too complicated. You have to always put your targeted audience in mind when creating or designing any website or blog because something that might look understandable to you might be complicated for them

Both has disadvantages and advantages. It depends on your project or brand. Gaming projects will always have fancy websites with lots of high resolution images and other media files. Fancy websites easily capture the interest of visitors. The downside is that it involves more resources, difficult to maintain and is usually heavy and reduce page load speed which is harmful to see. Simple website on the other hand is easy to set up, requires little setup and very little which achieves a high page load time. Search engines love that. Personally I would love a fancy website because I love attraction.

The simplicity of your website is very important because it will determe the web speed. If a website is too complex and fancy, it will load very slowly and it will not be appealing. It is always good to have a simple and easy-to-navigate website. It is one of the ways to increase traffic to your website.

User friendly websites are generally more attractive in my opinion be it fancy or simple. It entirely depends on what the website is designed to cater for. So, personally, I would like a not too fancy but also not too simple website considering the fact that some people may not take you serious if your site is too simple and others may be put off if too fancy.

A simple website is best when you already have loyal clients, and they do not need to be convinced anymore. They only care about your products or services. However, when it comes to the new audience you need a fancy website with lot of colorful features to attract them but again if your products or services is low quality then nothing will work.

Yes the load speed time of websites help determine their SEO ranking too. However, there are systems employed by heavy websites to increase load speed. Caching and CDN are major ways to increase load speed while maintaining contents. There are websites that can never be simple. Projects that deal with media can't have simple websites example news media, Game, crypto and so on. Institutions like web hosting providers can't have a simple website too.

The speed of website is very important in determining how your website will be indexed on Google search result. The speed of a website is where the SEO analysis start. You don't want to shun visitors away when your website loading speed is very slow. Ensuring optimising the web page with faster loading is very important.

Yes you're correct. There are several ways to optimize the speed of a website. Most websites are heavy so utilize these systems to boost their speed. Using private server is one. These servers are more robust and able to accommodate any bandwidth than shared servers. Using CDN is another system. CDN helps deliver a cached version of your website to visitors any time they visit. If your website has many features, then it can't take a simple design.

One of the most important thing that every blogger should take into consideration is the speed of the website. Every website owners most ensure that the website is fully optimised with a very fast page loading. This will allow the user to navigate from one web page to another page in less than 3 seconds.

My primary purpose for being online is to make extra money for a more comfortable retirement, so if a plain white page with clear, easy to read text helps me further that agenda, then that's good enough for me. If it's a website I am building for myself, simple makes it easier and faster and time is money. Get it done and move on to the next project. That's why I have a couple of mobile responsive templates I can edit the text on to fit my agenda and have a reasonably attractive page ready to go online in a short time.

This is very true, the primary objective is to ensure to get quality visitors to your site that are loyal already and where grown organically. The careless about a website that has a lot of features. As long as it is not laging and their data is safe,it is easy to use or it is basic then you will continue with your business without worrying to impress those who will not even buy from you.

Yes you are right. I like simple website not a website with so many graphic things.

Simple website will load quickly and it will not look complicated to navigate.

I know some website starter will prefer shiny website to simple website.
Shiny website may look as if scammer owns it. It may takes a longer time to load compare to simple website

A simple design boosts sales and conversion rates.
A website with a straightforward design will increase sales and conversion rates since it provides a wonderful user experience.
People are apt to perceive your website as being out of date or unprofessional if its design appears complicated and visually cluttered.
It is very good to keep it simple because the users don't want a website that is complicated. The interface must be very easy to navigate for the users to keep coming back to get useful information. The visuals must be moderate because the colours must not be too sharp for visual comfortability.

I'll choose simple and responsive website over clunky and superficial fancy websites cause fancy websites need more resources and they usually take more time to load and most prone to crash on smartphones.
It is true that fancy website needs more money and more activities to set up, it is always better to keep it simple so that the web page will load very fast so as not to chase visitors away. It is definitely one of the ways to generate traffic to the website because if a website is too cumbersome and loading the speed is slow, it will chase people away.

Simple website design does not connotes speed. Some simple websites have issues of responsiveness. Though, a simple website terms to have speed more than fancy websites. Speed is more of broadband and server speed. A simple website with overloaded server may have issue of poor responsiveness.

I'd always choose simple over fancy(unless it's simple and fancy :p). Simple and catchy always does the work, unlike overboarded websites with a ton of unnecessary widgets that don't do much except for slowing the page load speed. However, it's true craftsmanship to make it simple and catchy, as many fail to do so. So yeah, my vote goes to the simple ones, but you know what they say: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" ;)

There's no right or wrong in this case since it all depends on your goal. If you create sites for corporate/product pages, make them as beautiful and convincing as possible since people go there not for the content (you don't sell the content, but the products/services). Wikipedia "sells" its content so the dev must make it to get the widest audience possible by making things lightweight.

That said if you create news sites, blogs, videos, etc., content that you want it to be played on everything including a potato phone, then you make it as simple as possible.

The luxurious site suggests professionalism and trust. If you provide certain services, this can affect your profits

Agreed. But the thread was simple/fancy and I don't think luxurious actually fits in at all. A site can be both simple and luxurious at the same time - and it can be fancy and luxurious too. For a professional website I would aim for a very simple, but very luxurious website.
