The FBI recently reported that a group of people was stealing money from two firms based in Chicago. The scammers were from Nigeria and stole around $17.5 million which were later converted into bitcoin. They carried out phishing attacks against the company by posing as the companies' accountants and later they send the money in bitcoin into an online virtual wallet. The suspects are now under arrest.

I won't be surprise that some politicians are already storing their money in Crypto currencies already because it is easier for them to buy and hold.
That's the point I was trying to say . It makes them annoymous because cryptocurrency address doesn't bear the name of the owner so it is a perfect place to hide stolen money

The most painful part of all...is Africa mention especially Nigeria. 70% youths in Nigeria believe that they can find a better future in doing fraudulent activities.. In term of disguise.
Well, I don't really think this is strange considering the high rate of unemployment that is ravaging many African countries. Instead of picking up some kind of skill and working hard, they turn to crime.

Are you from Nigeria ? Or you are judging based on what you have been hearing ? , The truth is that some of their youths do not want to work for money but this doesn't mean that up to 70% of them are into fraudulent activity

The 70% is on the high side probably 45% of the youths on the internet are their to scam people not because of unemployment but their high taste of life and they don't want to work.

It is good to hear that the criminals have been apprehended in this case. I think that it is very important to constantly check the credentials of anyone working in a company to avoid such instances.

At times their credential may be good but when they are in need of money, they can do any deal with anyone to get paid which include disclosing the company details
