Perk Tv is the number one app when it comes to being paid to watch. All you have to do is download the app on an android or iOS device or go to the official Perk website.

Perk TV App Review.jpg

On Perk TV, you can earn points by completing surveys, offers and most importantly by watching videos. Watching videos is the best way to earn. All you have to do is click on one video, and once it is finished, the next will automatically load. This makes it super easy to earn points. This classifies Perk as a passive source of money.

Each video you watch gives you between 1-4 perk points. These points can be redeemed for a wide array of gift cards or for PayPal cash.

My favorite thing about Perk is that they allow you to use multiple devices to earn at the same time. You can have up to 5 devices per account (unwritten rule). Anything more is frowned upon and may get you banned.

I have used Perk for just a week now and have cashed out three $5 Amazon gift cards. You can too! Good Luck!

Thanks for sharing this and I am now curious, how long did it took you to get paid those $5 gift cards? Is that the only payment method or do they have paypal too?

It's a pity, PerkTV does not work in my country. I've read it in reddit, and I think it's an extremely good beermoney app if you're looking for passive ways to earn.

I hear you can earn more than a dollar a day if you leave it open the whole time.

One thing that I want to know is do you have to keep the video on focus to earn the credits, meaning it has to be visible on your screen, not just on the background? I'm curious because I've just started using Earnhoney that also gives you credit for watching videos, but it just didn't credit me at all.

I am not sure. What I do know is that I am able to run five small windows at the same time and earn for each of them

Hm... I'm thinking of a way to bypass the country limitation of this app. If I create a new Apple ID (US location) to be able to download the app and run it, will that work? Then, suppose I am successful in downloading and running the app, will I get points afterwards? Right now, I won't find it on the app store if I do a search using my current Apple ID.

Unfortunately it doesn't work in my country either. If anyone knows a way to bypass limitations tell me, please. I'd like to give it a shot.

Have any of you tried using a proxy? The app Hola can make it look to external viewers as though your device's internet connection is based in another country. I used to use it to stream Netflix from the US until they started preventing people from doing that. I doubt the people at Perk have set up such stringent measures though.

Heard about Hola and I think I'll try it when I get home. I read somewhere that it's a malware though.. Actually, Perk might really have set up such a system because they are actually giving away money and I don't think they want their system to be abused. I'll give Hola a try and I'll tell you what happens.

Ok, so I've successfully downloaded the app with a new Apple ID. Unfortunately, it says that there are no available playlist for me right now. I tried watching videos but I am not receiving any points.

Of course, proxies or VPNs. I never thought of that. Hmm... definitely worth a try.

Good point. They probably have such a system. Me too, I'll still try, got nothing to lose :)

I'm not sure how you guys from outside the United States can get access to Perk. Have you tried downloading it from the United States app store? That would be my best advice. Sorry to hear that.

I find Perk less profitable than it gets credit for. The videos are pretty long, the ads are longer, and while you might make some decent cash if you have multiple devices, it's pretty hard with one device. I personally feel like Perk is overrated, but I might be doing something wrong. Please enlighten me if so, but if not, don't waste your time if you only have one phone.

The issue with proxies is that you might be able to install the app, but later have issues cashing out, so beware.
Thanks for the heads up. So people did try it out and are able download, run the app and earn points with a proxy. Hm. Can you give me specific details about the issue you're talking about? Do Perk take away your points if they found out you're using a proxy?

I used to use Perk TV all the time, running videos on my phone whilst at work (using their WiFi, haha). When I got a new phone, I'd still keep my old one hooked up to the home WiFi whilst out and just let videos run.

So I thought I'd amassed a large amount of points, as a lot of videos had been watched, but I didn't seem to receive the points for them. Then, sometimes, the app would crash in the middle of a long play of videos, and not credit those points either.

So I kinda gave up on it. But reading everything above, I might go back to it. It seems popular and an easy way of making a few pounds. Can someone remind me, they do UK/£ gift cards etc. don't they?

I am not sure what countries they support. However, I do know that the quality of Perk has varied over the years. For some stretches of time they suck, for a lack of a better word, and at other times they are great

One tip I would consider is to use a computer or old laptop. I have run 5 tabs open on one laptop for the last week and have made $20 amazon. Pretty sweet. Seems that earning has slowed way down though, not so sure about that.

Okay, so since my last post I've ran Perk TV on my mobile in the background and watched a good amount of videos, and yet my Perk points haven't changed at all. Nothing has been credited.

I can't find any breakdown or explanation of their scoring system, do you get 1 point per 1 video? How often are they credited?

Not to bring it down - I'm sure it works great for others, but I'm a bit reluctant to put any more time into it while there's doubt like this.
