JustAnswer is an online question and answer site that links visitors to expert advice. The site was started by Andy Kurtz in 2003 to help people connect with industry experts. According to JustAnswer.com, they answer a question every 9 seconds.

How it works

First, you must be an expert in a certain field and have certificates and licenses to show that you are qualified and approved to discharge such services. The website feature different professional categories where you choose one. Popular categories include law, health, and teaching.

As a professional in a specific field, you get to register in the industry of your expertize and upload the necessary documents. The documents prove that you are the person you say you are to eliminate quacks. If you are unable to verify that you are actually a professional in your specified field, you cannot successfully sign up on the site.

To start earning, you wait for someone to post a question in your specified profession and answer the question. If the person who posted the dilemma likes the answer and accepts it, the stipulated payment is credited to your account.

What do you need to sign up on JustAnswer?

Since it's a web-based service, you need a reliable internet connection and a computer. If you have these two, you can begin the process of registering using your full names and a valid email. After the initial sign up with your name and email, the verification process consisting of an 8-step process begins. To complete the process, you need the following:

A CV or resume in Doc or PDF format.

Information about your experience in the desired field including your phone number, company and employer's name.

Professional licenses and contact details of the licensing authorities.

Identification.

Your photograph.

How much money can you make on the site?

As a beginner, you will make about 20 percent for every correct answer accepted by the client. Over time, you rise up the ranks to make 50 percent of the cost of the answer. Normally, questions pay about $5 or more, however, the cost of questions depends on the profession and the expertise needed to answer the question.

Minimum payout

Once you hit the minimum threshold set at $20, you can initiate a withdrawal. The site has PayPal as a payment option, so, you do not have to worry about getting your money.

Then it can be our demographic situations which are causing the difference. In my country, I hardly have any such sites. Most of the sites do not allow the Indian residents . Can you elaborate the name of the sites you are talking about?

This is legit but it requires people to have proper qualifications. They are looking for doctors rather than someone that once dated a nurse so kinda knows what they are talking about. So maybe not suitable to a lot of people.

From your comments here it shows that the site is not for every body and i guess it health related site, there is no need wasting time here, good luck to doctors and nurses in this forum

I have stated on here more than once what they are looking for. It is a site that wants Professionals with a degree to work for them and answer questions. They ask you to supply your credentials or your work experience You have to have some type of degree or work experience that can easily be verified in order to join this site. The site pays well for your knowledge, because it is the client that is pay you. Before you can even ask a question on this site, you must deposit money there. The person who answers this questions and works with the person is pay the money that was deposited to the site. If the funds run out before the person has all their answers, they are required to add more funds to their account in order to continue.

I know on here we have one person who is a social worker. I believe they work with handicap people. Now this is a profession that could easily be verified and they could work on this site. Other people in industries such a computer, tech, science and the list goes on can easily work here.

I wrote a review on this site. It is a good site and it is fun to work on. The site is like a sister site to Just Answer and some of the questions from the site are sent over to Just Answer. If you need a review go to look it up on the website. You can easily find the website and nobody has posted a review on here yet. I was thinking of posting one here, but then changed my mind because I'd already written it up for the website.

That is an excellent site. I know of 26 sites so far that you can work on to answer questions. Some of the site pay quite well, but they are time consuming. But if you're working online for money they are one of the best ways to earn. You need to be quick at searching if you actually don't know the answers up front.

Have you ever considered some of the online teaching sites to help students with their homework? I believe on a few of them you can also add your notes or even create a study plan or give some types of notes or people on them too.

Hi,

I am already a member of JustAnswer and providing support related to I.T. I'm earning pretty decent. One accepted answer by the customer could range from 17$ - 23$. If the customer rated you 5-star, there will be additional incentives as well. And if the customer has asked for a Premium Service like phone support and remote assistance, you can double the income and you will be rated automatically for 5-star. See sample computation below.

Question: Cannot update Windows 10.
Price: 20$
Once the answer has been accepted, the 20$ is yours.
When the customer has asked for Premium Service, you'll receive additional payment of 20$.
Then you will be automatically rated 5-star, thus giving you i.e. 3$.
In total, you'll earn approximately 43$ for just one customer.

The number of inquiries were a lot and doesn't run out. As per JustAnswer, they have millions of members worldwide. In my experience I've support customers from US and Australia.

Below is the proof of my income which I earned for only 5 days, and from which I'm just doing part-time, for only few hours. The Questions volume is the total of answers that I've posted since I started working in JA. My very first income, which I did last February for 3 days is 86$. Then this is my income within March for 5 days.

Definitely this is worth the income but you should have a lot of experience to become an expert on certain skills. They will do a background check and once approved, you can start earning immediately.

This is a very interesting site. However I am not well versed on the topics and so this site is definitely not for me. It would be great had they needed advice for topics related to business. The pay rate seems to be good. However you made no mention about the payment methods. I will like to know if the site is available internationally.

I don't give out this sort of advice in case a person messes up and he can lose all his data. I did decline this offer.

@Awan Cheyanne - Yes, it wasn't like you're giving up your credentials. It's actually like applying for a job. It's natural that when you applied for a job, the new Company will do a background check on your performance from previous Company. They might be strict on requirements because they already have some reputation. Also, some customers are computer savvy. They know how to search and find solutions online. They just asked for the assistance from JustAnswer if they really have no idea on what they're doing. So if you like share some general advise, the customer would be pissed off and could give you bad ratings.

There are a lot of jobs/task to choose from. If one is not confident to do the task, then he/she can just ignore the task and move on to another task. Like me, I'm not too savvy with Apple products, so my support is limited to forgotten password and some settings. So I just choose issues related to PC, both applications and system issues, and some social media and emails account issues.

I hope this advise can help those professionals who wanted to earn better income. 20-30$ is not bad at all. They pay every 4th of the month through Paypal. They have a lot of incentives and I was even surprised that most of my income are usually accumulates than what I usually expected.

@leann0726 - There is no examination to pass their qualification. You will fill up some information from our previous Companies, but you can choose which are the ones that you can provide information for them to contact.

As I have mentioned before, you definitely need to have experience from a category that you have chosen. You do not need any certificates, diploma or high educational attainment, you just need proven experience. There are categories that you don't need any certifications or diploma like gardening, photography, etc. There are hundreds of categories to choose from. If you're confident that you can do it, then add it as part of your qualification on your registration.

@leann0726 I have already repeated myself over 30 times on this thread. I explained this in detail, just like @djones05 has done. The people who answer on here are lazy and refuse to read the complete thread to find all this out. Even if you give them the answer, they will ask again and again.

This company is like applying for a job. I told you more than once the company contacted me to be a data recovery expert on the site. Well, guess what there is no schooling, degree or anything else that I can give this company to prove I am an expert in Data Recovery. The only way they could have known about me was my online reputation and the books I've written about data recovery. You just need to prove that you can answer the questions that people ask of you.

If you help people in online relationships and give advice you could qualify for the work here. You have an online presence and people believe in you and you help them. That is what this site is all about. Giving and helping people solve their problems. If you can do this and can prove you have the knowledge to do this, they will accept you on the site. Plain and simple. Don't make it harder or more complicated than it already is.

@Binu That is correct. They need expert's advise. If you give them a general answer or advise, customer's will be pissed off because JustAnswer is charging them 39$. You as the expert will acquire 19$ for this income.

So they definitely need an expert's advise. Most customers know how to Google and find their way to resolve their issues, but that's not always the case. There are customers who knows how to Google but do not understand the subject. So they would ask for assistance from JustAnswer, hoping that they will get a clearer explanation or at least a step-by-step procedure.
