We have constantly seen whether bitcoin is better than gold and for many peopel this has already been answered and bitcoin seems to be coming out ahead in this race. However today I would like to pose a different question to all the members that are in this forum. This question is in regard to the battle between bitcoin and real estate. Real estate can be good because there is a lot of appreciation in its value with time, however Bitcoin has also seen this as well. Some argue that bitcoin is better because you actually own that Bitcoin whereas with real estate the property is ultimately owned by the state. Which do you think is a better investment and why?

For the fans of Bitcoin for sure they will choose Bitcoin instead of real estate investment. But for me, real estate is the primary investment option because it is the safest with the value that is stable and ever increasing. No matter if the price of Bitcoin is predicted to grow by leaps and bound after 10 years it is still real estate for me.

Stability is a very important thing when you are looking at an investment especially if you are not able to take a lot of risks because of the financial position as well.

Bitcoins are volatile in nature but investments in real estate are not so volatile.

You can't compare real estate to bitcoins, unless the volatility of bitcoins are regulated to an extent.

No.. for me real estate is still better investment. You can milk it for income and the value just go up as time goes. Not volatile at all so you don't need to check it daily hoping it's not going down on value

I think that this is a good point and it does make a lot of sense because there is a lot of stress that is associated with cryptocurrency investments and i find myself checking the value of coins multiple times a day.

If you considered the longer term, it might be turn out to be a better investment than anything else. But yes it has much higher risk as compared to any other investment scheme.

I don't think it is better and I don't think they should be comparable because each of them come with their own risk, as lucrative as bitcoin is it is volatile.

I think that bitcoin has that option as well. Because it is a decentralized system you have the option of selling your coin at any point and getting out of the investment.

Yeah but most times in such situation you must have lost out and in order to avoid more loses you sell off. Personally Investing in both is the best option.

Depends on how you think. Bitcoin is digital asset, people actually need something physical. Bitcoin is good for easy investment and make money to buy home which comes from real estate.

You're right, many people will prefer to invest in real estate first because it is physical and more secure then Invest in bitcoin from the money they make.

It's still more secure to have a physical asset other than digital ones.. some point you will need money and an estate can help you with that and you wouldn't lose any of it either.. in Bitcoin you need to completely sell it off to get money

I think that we can only be certain with some coins. For example i am sure that bitcoin and ethereum will rise with time, however i don't think that i can say the same for dogecoin.

Musk is responsible for Doge and it is his problem.

Invest in crypto to gain profit and trade, invest in real estate to have place to live.

Except you invest in a real estas property that will be affected by climate change eg flood, fire, sea levels or desertification… real estate is a very long term commitment where you should do your research very in depth… or use RE funds.
I would see this as black or white. I think both investment types should be part of a portfolio

In short term it is correct to say that investing in real estate depreciates with time. the value of the investment really decreases whereas when you invest in cryptocurrency that totally depends upon the growth of the currency.

No the value of real estate not necessarily will decrease. It might increase significantly if you look to right areas. Metropolitan areas, areas with high attractiveness like beach front or so might increase since the available space is more than limited, world population gets richer and gets more. Long term investment to real estate can be a steady revenue stream. But still there are risks.
