When the lock downs begun I was working in sales. You know the deal - minimal wage plus a commission, but since there were so few customers I was not making enough money to cover my basic expenses.
My anxiety went trough the roof and at one point I thought, I would have to move back with my parents. Not that it's the worst thing on the planet, but if you are a guy in his 20s living mommy and daddy is not a dream situation.
At that time all I did is complained about my situation, which didn't exactly make me very popular with other people.
However a friend took pity on me and invited me to join a team play poker chat room he was in. I told him that I don't even know how to play poker, but he convinced me to give it a try. Team play is when couple of people sit on a table and share with each other what cards they have, and they play as a team against the rest of the players on the table.
I was doing pretty well, but the summer came and many of the restrictions got lifted and my regular job picked up. Standing on your feet 8 hours a day trying to sell a person something that they probably don't want and most likely don't need is a joyless existence. On top of that I started making more money from the poker than my ""real"" job. So last October I decided to quit and just play poker.
To be honest I've never been more happy in my life. I feel free and in control for the first time. I just wanted to vent a little and share my experience(maybe brag a little).
If you have any questions leave them in the comments bellow and I will try to answer to the best of my abilities.

I quit my job to play online poker

Quitting your job to play online poker full-time can be a risky decision, as it's not guaranteed to be a sustainable source of income. Here are a few things to consider before making such a decision:

  1. Income stability: Online poker can be a volatile source of income, and there's always the risk of losing money. It's important to have a backup plan or savings in case your poker income is not consistent.
  2. Skill level: Your ability to make money from online poker will depend on your skill level. If you're not already an experienced and winning player, it's important to be realistic about your chances of success.
  3. Time commitment: Playing online poker full-time...
That's point on! Poker is indeed a very wonderful and intriguing game to play. If you are a poker Pro, it will be hugely easier to display the best hand at the poker table and there are some other tricks that you could utilise to win the game very easily. One of such is the arithmetical calculation of the game.
Yes, poker is definitely a game of skill for the most part, but keep in mind that there is a lot of competition due to the high prizes that are usually played there, it is very difficult to reach a higher skill level, you will have to dedicate many hours and probability study.

you dont have a clue what your talking about. playing poker for a living is very feasible & very profitable. especially how they are playing. ganging up on the other player & playing together.

poker rooms know this trick. just dont get caught. but if everybody uses a good vpn & always signs in from the same geo location, more or less, your fine. i know of others who have done this for yrs & made a very decent living. if i could, i would be doing the same.

good luck to you & happy profits. just take care who knows what you are doing. the less the better. dont ruin a good thing by bragging too much.
I am astonished reading this. It seems I will go into this poker game fully. Can you give a trick on how people can get rich with poker because it seems like you are doing good for yourself. I don't always see poker as a real game. No offense.

There is need to invest a lot of time to learn how to play the game because you would need to learn even from The professionals if you have not attained such level. You will learn how to display the best hand at the poker table. If it is Texas hold em you're playing, you must most be able to display the Royal flush in order to win because that is the highest hand you can display.

it takes a lot of time & pratice to learn how to play poker. its not something that can be taught with a few words of advice. everybody is entitled to their opinion of what ever. if you dont see poker as a game, so be it. but millions of other people will tell you different. start by playing online poker. many people have worked their way up in the poker standings by playing online. but when you play online, you have to be quick & have a very good poker hand calculator.

Practice makes perfect but with games like poker, there's no guarantee that you'll make it. Games are programmed by the bookies to make profit. Many people will have to lose so few will gain. I don't like stuffs I don't have control over.

I think I will do well if I go into poker but I have not really had the chance to learn it because I think trying it out would involve money. I don't know if there is an offline game that can be played to learn without putting in money. Because I love playing the card games on my laptop and I am doing well in it. Is it the same as poker?

If you want to be very successful the game of poker, you need to hone your skills in arithmetic and you must learn different strategy to display the best skill in order to showcasethe best hand at the poker table. Learning all of the skills will take a lot of time.

I still think it is a game of luck. I am very good with mathematics and arithmetics. Once the game has been handed to you by the person that controls the game. I don't know what they call him, maybe the umpire or so, what do you calculate and how do you know if you have won?

The person who oversees the game of Poker is called the poker dealer or casino poker manager. There are different hands in poker and if you display the best hands you will win the game. You will need to learn different Poker hands and which poker hand beats what at the poker table.

I respect your choice, but I don't share it. If you were my son I would only invite you to make sure that gambling does not become for you a drug or an obstacle to your most intimate desires. You are always more important than your job and the stakes.

Okay. I get it. When the Poker dealer or Poker Manager distributes the card, he calls out some things and it makes the players respond. How do you know that the card will favor you because the cards are always faced down. I still think the game needs luck than arithmetic.

No, I have not really been an online poker player, I have played with friends at the table but never online, but I know that poker is a game of skill, and that you can win a lot of money with it if you train and perfect your skills

I think I will put this in my agenda this year, because it seems as if this poker game is a real deal. When playing the game, how does the casino or the poker manager benefit from the game. Does he or she always ge tipped? Or there is a separate amount players contribute to the poker Manager

No one will dispute that poker does not require some level of luck but it needs a greater portion of your ability because if a professional poker player faces a rookie player in the game of poker, the professional will defeat the rookie effortlessly.

Hahaha, people don't really know what casino and poker games are. They think it's as easy as the way it's presented in ads, movies or editorial. Poker is a form of gambling where most people lose for a few to win.

betting houses or poker rooms, casinos, etc. charge a small commission, generally by commission, to players who are going to play at an online poker table or in a casino, etc. It is a fairly small commission, but usually generally brings a profit to the poker room or casino and makes these activities sustainable

Wow. This seems like a great deal. But I don't think I will have the balls to quit my job to go full time into poker or any other gambling that I believe to fully know. It could just be a side hustle but that is right after I have learned fully.

Okay. I hope they don't charge when we get to play online. I heard someone said that you have to know the basics and there is a way to go around it and get paid. He said you will need VPN. Do you know how to play poker online and is there a ways to cheat your way to winning?

No, I haven't been an online poker player as I said above and I don't really use VPNs because I don't want to get banned from the places I visit, but I don't know if it's possible to cheat on an online site and I don't recommend doing it, because They could ban you and keep the money you have in the account, besides I don't think it's possible, anyway why would you want to access with a VPN?

I read it on one of the replies here that someone could make a way around it and end up winning huge on online poker games. I am yet to believe it too. I was just checking in, if you have an idea about this. I will check it out online though
