One of the methods to make money out of playing video games is to make live streams on platforms like Twitch or YouTube gaming and get paid by monetizing you live with ads or by receiving donations from your fans. Even though at the beginning this might sound quite easy, it a lot harder than you think it is. It may take months to even get 100 persons to watch you regularly and you will not really make until you have at least 1000 people who constantly watch your livestreams. So it could take a few months, maybe year to build an audience but once you get it money will start coming.

2) Join tournaments with cash prizes
Now, this method is mostly for the pros because if you are just a normal person who plays CS:GO 1 hour a day you will never going to be able to participate in tournaments to earn money. First of all you need to join an esport organization. That's pretty hard to do because you have to play a lot of hours until people are going to start noticing your talent. After that, you will join a team of other players and compete with other teams in tournaments for real money. The prizes will be different depending on how popular the games is and what level you are playing at.

3) Sell your skills
If you think you are better than average people when you play a popular video game and you have created your own strategies and know exactly how the game works then you could sell this knowledge. You probably wonder how is that possible. Well there are beginner players who are ready to pay other persons to play on their account in order to boost their rank or level. Also you can create a guide with different strategies or techniques and sell it.

4) Create a blog
This method can be used when a new game is released and it becomes popular very quickly. If you already played the game for a while and you have enough information that you could share with other people than do it. Post articles about tips and tricks to help people improve their skills in that game. If your articles are unique and the game is popular you will quickly gather a big audience since people will promote your blog for free. For some reason children pick up on the games a lot faster than adults do at time. I see how my 2 nephews can pick up a new game and in to time at all they have mastered it.

You are right. Even my niece is really good at gaming. Kid's mind is much active than adults so they can easily learn some things better than adults.

I really don't think this is the case. When i was younger we didn't have computers, smartphones or video games to play. Not like today and that is all the kids know how to do.

What your friend faced is awful anyways that depends on us whether we continue or not. I have heard a lot about such pay for playing games but nobody recommended any such good sites. Can you name any such sites. Can we play on youtube as well, how does it go. How to search about it.

For the youtube part you will need to get any game you like, and film your gameplay with special programs. the post them on youtube and hope you will get viewers. There are site that pay you to play but the payment is very low from what I know. Maybe I will find some and give them to you if you remind me. Don;t have time now

I never even had any of that when I was growing up. I basically went directly into computer in 1973 and worked in them ever since. I didn't have games, smart phones or any of this stuff when I was a kid. I know I got my daughter a Nintendo once but she didn't play it all that much at all.

I have noticed this too, because anytime I need to learn a new video I try to watched the ones with many views and I realize it always the one with kids that people either download or view the more.Maybe people get fascinated because a child is involved.

for a gamer and youtuber I think it will be much better if they will learn more about the famous games because these games are top search when it comes to looking for techniques. so one must take
note of it and consider this factor before making videos for not so popular games.

I'm not sure how many people here like to make videos on YouTube. I now a few people do have a YouTube channel. This takes a lot of time, work, and practice to make a good video to share on there.

I know, but some just take it as a hobby to record how they play on a certain game. If you really have good gaming skill, this can really attract the viewers.
