We all know that there are literally millions of blogs on various topics, but only a handful of them are so-called authorities. What do you think helped them become ones?

Is it knowledge and budget, or just a pure will power and determination, or a combination of all? Pls share.

I believe it the combination of everything but most importantly is the knowledge. Having authority means one is sure of what he or she is doing or talking about, to be an authority on a particular niche online one must have above knowledge of what it takes to be in that niche and blog or write knowledgeably and also be determined to succeed.

Totally agree.I think authority in a niche means,that he knows everything about that niche,having more than 10 years of experience,I have seen such type of authority sites,which are even for 15 years online and still in the first page of Google.

Certainly any one that is knowledgeable in a niche and write a topics with all known facts can be said to be an authority because such a person will be writing from experience and knowlege of such topics.

I think becoming an authority means also to have knowledge about SEO,in order that if you after years of work you managed to get in the first page of the Google,to be possible to keep your position there and face the competition.

You are right interpreting what authority means.You have to offer always high quality content on your website as well,because people will visit your site,and they must be content with what they read and to return to your site.You better keep step with changing time and always update your website as often as possible with the latest news.

I think authority building is a process. You have to like keep doing something in one niche. And connect with people. And you have to kind of shout on how you have done X and Y. And this approach leads to being authority. Because just posting one blog post and expecting that would turn you into authority may not work.

But you can earn money quickly from your website but don't expect to get rich in a few months.

If you can afford, go to Flippa and buy an established website that makes money. You will start earning money right away.

The belief I have about the small successful blogs is that there were determined and they also had deep-rooted knowledge about the niche they chose to write about.
They were also consistent in what they were doing even despite the fact that at first it seemed like something that won't work but they never gave up.
