From my little experience on this, if you have built yourself as an authority in the particular field you are authoring a book, you would make sales. I have authored two books and I sold 100 copies of each of them on pre order. That was because I already had people who believed in my wealth of knowledge on the subjects.

Creating a products is a great thing. However, the product that you tend to create must solve some kind of problem for the customers. Otherwise, people might not be that much interested in your product. We must remember that a customer is buying a product and there should be a reason behind why he is buying your product. The product must serve a specific purpose and this is the essential thing we must know.

When you are an authority in a particular field, your audience already know that you carry value. Before I compiled my ebook, I had already done free basic demonstration online. People saw the results we got. Some copied those our free demos and got results too. It was easy for them to patronise my ebook when it was announced.

My brother wrote an eBook on how to overcome masturbation and it sold like wildfire. Why did it sell like that? I believe there are other books on the same topic that don't sell like that. The guy had established himself counselling young people and telling them stories about how he himself overcame masturbation. They saw him as a role model in that area. The main problem with selling books is the fact that there are many people who are not following the rules. This is why they are just not able to make money. People should understand that they must write attractive book titles that could catch the attention of readers. When a customer picks up your book, the very first thing they look is the title of the book. This is one of the most important things people must realise.

It seems a long drawn process as I know some have taken years to see their book being sold in stalls. The rejections are more than acceptance by sources that matter. The first step however is to complete writing a book and that alone will take years

You seem to have already talked about your book with people who you know will go for it One must have a good following who in turn will talk about the book with their own group.

These days one has many WhatsApp groups and perhpas that should help.

I was already doing online WhatsApp trainings for people to that I knew would buy my book. I just gave them a slice in the trainings to wet their appetites and then, I released the book. They all rushed to buy because they wanted to know more than what they got from the WhatsApp trainings.
