When you start a business there is a time period between having the idea and then actually being able to implement the idea. It is very rare that you are able to see someone that has an idea and can immediately begin with the business within the next few days. How long do you think is a sufficient time frame that you should be doing research on a business idea before starting to take it into reality? Typically my opinion would be around four to six month to ensure in depth research over a sufficient time frame.

The period from the idea to the start up, I think it was a year before I decided. I had a full time job and the spare time was also an issue. The capital is not much but I had to find a business place for the boutique. It is not a rush project and it is okay to give it more time.

I think 4 months should be enough ,so you can develop the idea that will improve and impact the business positively , but make sure you know about the business before starting
The time you can use in building a business plan can be up to six months. What I would advice anyone is to gi ahead and do it rather than stalling

It depends on the amount of resources and capital you are able to gather before starting the business. Usually, it shouldn't be more than 4 months.

To me it depends on the capital and the amount of resources you ave, when u ave all wat it get for you to start up a business,I don't think it should be up to a month before you start up the business

If one has the right capital and enough mentorship guidance, starting a business shouldn't be a problem. Maintenance is the problem that poses a daunting challenge.
You are right, when you have been mentored and have the knowledge to run the business successfully, you can established the business at anytime provided that the needed resources are also available at your disposal.

Six months is actually a great time frame op. But I think it depends on the sector you are hoping to start up your business. Some businesses does not actually require such amount of fiscal planning.

This is also a good point and it will be business dependent because there are some like dropshipping that can be started immediately after finding a reliable supplier.

Starting a business may not be easy for sure. It can take so much time before you actually impliment the idea that you have. That time is used for research and getting to clearly know the products or services that you will be selling. That time varies from business to business and depends on the scale of the business.

It is not about time. It is about you.
If you have an idea then start implement that as soon as posible and you can learn on the process.
Analizing is good but don't get paralize by analize and make you stop doing it. Just do it

Its all depend on the capital if you have the capital and the available resources I think its wont take up to a month to start the business, except you just want to put additional things in place money is everything dont wait once the fund is there

Yes, you are right. But you can't just start off a business because the capital is there without first learning more about the business, the risk factors, how it actually operates... So I think it's best to start of a business as soon as the capital and the basic knowledge about the business have been acquired.

Depends in the business that you want to start and the basic knowledge gives more adventage to learn it fast and with good skills
Definitely, the kind of business will contribute to the time frame. I think taking about 6 weeks should be a good time to put together all that is needed

Since it is a business idea created by you , I believe you should be able to do the needful by researching on the environment and factors the business will depend on

First of all you need to work with a business for understanding it well and give it more time also it gives your attention also first of all you have a good idea for starting a business which gives you benefit and use more in future and people friendly.
I think that it is important to have the idea before you work in other businesses to gain the knowledge and experience because then your knowledge and dedication will be more focused to see what can help you.

You are right my dear. Gaining the necessary information, knowledge and experience before starting off a business shouldn't be a choice but a necessity. This will most times give you an edge over most of your competitors

You can start your business as soon as you have all that is needed at hand. The idea, knowledge and importantly the capital to execute the idea.
That's just simple and precise. One can only start up a business as soon as the necessary requirements for starting up the business are met and that's it.

Yeah mate! Having the idea may be the first step but every other thing that follows is as important when it comes to business. An idea remains an idea if there is no capital to execute it.
