When you start a business there is a time period between having the idea and then actually being able to implement the idea. It is very rare that you are able to see someone that has an idea and can immediately begin with the business within the next few days. How long do you think is a sufficient time frame that you should be doing research on a business idea before starting to take it into reality? Typically my opinion would be around four to six month to ensure in depth research over a sufficient time frame.

Depends in the business that you want to start and the basic knowledge gives more adventage to learn it fast and with good skills

When starting a business, it all depends on you as a person. You should know the type of business you want, plan on it, survey the place you plan on establishing that business i.e. location, also make sure that it's also a business that is needed in that area you plan on pitching your tent. So it actually takes a little bit of time to establish a business that's if you know what you want and what you are aiming at

It depends on the type of business you want to start, there are once that can take you one month or two months. The idea comes first, then research and implementation.

There are a lot of factors that you have to put into consideration before starting a business such as the start up capital for everything. But i advice people to start somewhere and only plan up to six months. Ensure that your business is not too involving and can be managed easily then growth will bring about all you want to see in the business eventually.

I think 4 months should be enough ,so you can develop the idea that will improve and impact the business positively , but make sure you know about the business before starting

I guess starting a business takes no time rather developing it take times
I have seen examples of small food shops it took them 6-8 months to break even with starting investment and earning daily wage then became in profit

There are many variables at play here. First off, the complexities that come with starting a business will depend largely on the type of business, how big you are going, potential hurdles and the amount of capital you have. Then don't let's forget, you as an individual will play a huge role as well - if you're lazy, you won't get anywhere fast. If you're driven and self-motivated, you'll probably get your business up and running in no time, regardless of whatever else is happening.

Rightly said you need to be consistent in your approach h and self motivated to take your business to the next level with thinking on base first along quality rather than profit that comes later

Actually you can't say precisely how many months or weeks is needed to start a business. That depends wholly on the business type, capital expenditure, availability of resources, manpower etc. All these factors will decide how long will be sufficient for buisness to start and grow.

Its not that easy to start a business but if you have more knowledge and fund regard your business and the amount of money that can operate the business perfectly you can start any business at any time provided the knowledge to manage the business is in place

Not only capital, understanding of the market is more important. You can manage capital fro anywhere but the knowledge of the market, you have to gain yourself. You know how to capitalize from the resources and opportunity if the market and manage your strategy accordingly.

It is depends of size and type of business, if some one want to start manufacturing business at large scale, it may be take couple of months. And we want to start small scale business at home, we can start it with is few days.

This is an excellent point, and depending on the type of business you are opening then factor can vary quite considerably. I think that the main point of consideration will be securing the merchandise for your business as this is probably the most important of all of them.

Well, backup strategy is very much needed too. When you start a buisness but unable to expand the business, you should have a back up plan. A plan which will help to put or rail back on track, and such plans needs proper management and skills to be executed.

Back up plans are extremely important and you have a good point there as well. These back up plans give you a sense of freedom that will allow you to take risks within your business which will further allow for you to able to make major decisions without bias and fear.

Actually I had seen my friend how he gone bankrupt just because he did not have a good strategy. His business idea was good, he had required capital also. But due to the lack of management and strategy, he had to lose all his investment and gone in debt. So better think then act rather than act then think.

True good management is part of the importance of business ,because a lot of business have gone bankrupt because of bad dealings
