Assuming you know what are the Faucets and you already know what is a PTC , i will try to explain here which micro earning website is better than the other and why.
Both, faucets and PTCs are considered micro earning websites because the earnings are not very high. The difference between each other is not on payments (bitcoin or dollars) but in the amount you can earn from each type of website daily or in a month.

Faucets
Claiming on a faucet is better than PTC because the daily earnings are not limited . The more you stay online the more your earnings are. There are many types of faucets and each type can have different timers and rewards so it is almost impossible to say how much someone can earn from a faucet in a day because it depends on:
-time you can spend online
-reward given on every claim (this also depends on the price of bitcoin and increasing TX fees to send the withdrawals)
Many faucets has a minimum withdraw set to 10000 satoshi or 15000 or even 50000 because of the price now ($2700) of the bitcoin. Faucets with minimum 100,000 satoshi (100k satoshi) and higher are susceptible for scamming ,so do your research on internet before start to to claim on such faucets with 100k satoshi as minimum withdraw. You will need to look for recently payment proofs.
Right now 10000 satoshi is worth $0.26 and withdrawing low amounts is way better than waiting on a PTC to make the minimum allowed to withdraw.
So from time to time you can withdraw your work on faucets. Better withdraw more often small amounts from a faucet than waiting for the bigger amount on a PTC.
Faucet admins are paid for the displayed banners by the ad networks and only getting paid in bitcoin will make a faucet to survive the higher prices of the bitcoin. If a faucet admin chooses an ad network which pays in dollars then the faucet is doomed to bankruptcy if pays in bitcoin due to conversion rate.
Faucet websites depends on the ad networks and visitors/claimers on the website.
The earnings may be variable, depends on bitcoin price as well but higher than PTCs for sure.
Probability of a faucet to be scam is way lower than a ptc.

PTCs
Paid-to-Click websites depends only, or 95% on the advertisers purchased campaigns . The 5% of an extra income can be from displaying banners from ad networks.
About 98% of the PTCs on internet are paying in dollars (USD) and only 2% of the PTCs are paying in cryptocurrency (bitcoin ).
The daily earnings on a ptc are limited because a ptc has usually around 20 ads to view. Maybe 2 or 3 more new ads are randomly displayed if someone is buying a new campaign. A stable ptc daily earning' is around $0.02-0.04 (as total from all the ads viewed) but with a faucet you can earn more. If a PTC is new and is offering even $0.1 or more per ad then definitely will scam people.
The regular minimum withdraw on a ptc is $2 but most of the ptcs increases this amount in steps by $2 so by the time you spent (almost 1 year) to gather the $10 minimum allowed ,the ptc is very likely to shut down/dissapear . Not to mention about the upgrade plans on PTCs which are very tempting for their admins .
Probability of a PTC to turn into a scam is very high unless that PTC is a bitcoin based ptc.
The PTCs which are working only with bitcoin can also become a scam or go bankrupt because depends mainly on campaigns purchased by people.

So, in given time, let's say 6 months , in this period you will have more satoshis (valued as dollars) in your online wallet from faucets ,then money saved from a PTC earned for free.
Faucets can have unlimited earnings per day but the ptcs don't.
Being paid in bitcoin is much better (even if you earn daily the same amount in $ from a ptc too) because if you have saved 2$ in bitcoin in your wallet, after 2 months those $2 can turn into $5, which is great for you.
Bitcoin grows so fast, faster then any bank's interest.
By the time you have saved minimum withdraw on a ptc ready for a pending, that PTC can turn into a scam or ban you without a reason. There are many complaints on internet from people getting banned from a PTC without a solid reason.
All in all, if you want to earn money online and you need to choose between a dollar-paying-ptc and a faucet ,i'd suggest you to choose the faucet .
If you need to choose between a dollar-paying-ptc and a bitcoin-paying-ptc then i suggest to choose the last one ,the bitcoin-paying-ptc.

Feel free to discuss which one you think is better or worse than the other, a faucet or a ptc and why .
Thank you

To be honest, ptc and faucet's are earning dust money. On ptc you can earn, how much,2 $ in 2 -3 month? That;s really wasting your time.Faucets are connect with price of crypto(bitcoin, dogecoin),and if you collect enough ,maybe, someday will earn something,if price go up,and,if your wallet is secure. But,all in all, they are really not good way to earn something, both.Try something that can give you at least 5$ per week, for easy jobs. With ptc/faucets,you cannot earn that much.

I agree that you don't earn a lot from faucets, but if you pick the right ones that pay the highest amounts and often you can earn considerably more than you mention in your post.

Certainly from my experience $5 is achievable in a week, especially given the rate at which Bitocoin, and other currencies, are rising in value (although how long this will continue for is another debate).

Both Faucets and PTC are slow earner and you won't earn much if you don't have many referrals. But I would always put Faucets over PTC as nowadays Paypal is blocking PTC sites from their payment system and the value of the satoshis earned through Faucets actually increases with time.

I see that Faucet works better. PTC is also good, greater earning lies on active referrals, giving you passive income. This is also true to some forum sites that offer earnings from referrals.
It is good that when you are active on ptc sites ,you advertise it from the start on manual traffic exchange sites,so you can get many direct refferals. So you can cash out in time from the ptc sites.Indeed faucets are good earning opportunities, but it can take up much time.

It can be time consuming but you've got to remember that you're being given money, so a bit of work is to be expected. If you work out the timings of the well-paying faucets you can ensure you maximise your effort so that within an hour you've claimed several thousand Satoshis.

Yes,if you find a faucet which pays a good amount of satoshis.A year ago there were many faucets ,that were paying even 1000 satoshis per claim.I have gathered a pretty amount of satoshis back then. Now,it is a different situation.you rarely can find a faucet, that pays well enough to be worth the time you are spending solving the captchas...

That sounds a lot but bear in mind the rise in the price of Bitcoin. A year ago today Bitcoin was around $570. Today, at the time of writing, it's $4835, so about 8.5 times more. Divide 1,000 by 8.5 and you get 117. There are a few faucets that pay around this, but if 1,000 was common a year ago then in real terms average payouts have decreased.

i am working on PTC so i will say that PTC is better. i do not have any experience with faucet yet. may be in future.

I am working on both now. I would say given if you have limited time, PTC is better in terms of earning. This is for my case where i dont have many referral in the faucets. If you are willing to work whole day to claim your faucet, then earning is better in faucet since no limits on the claim.

It's definitely worth persevering with faucets because you can make a few $ with them if you've got a list of the best paying ones in time order. You can claim in between whatever else you're doing.
Building referrals is a good way forward because that way you can earn a passive income. Build up a good circle of regular referrals and the satoshi will soon mount up.

I tried both, and both didn't work. But if I were to choose between the two, I would rather choose faucet. Ptc sites are only good on some country like US and Canada. Most of the offers on ptc sites are limited here in our country, and I cannot make much on ptc sites.

I would stick with faucets than paid-to-click sites. I had one troublesome experience with ptc. My laptop got infected with a malware which is so stubborn. It keeps opening lots of windows leaving me with no time to work. Just be careful with any of these options because you never know which one will infect your device.

Did it required you to install plug-ins? Can you tell us what that ptc site is? So we can avoid joining it.

No it did not. The virus found it's own way to install. I just noticed there is this one icon on my computer that was not there before. It didn't look harmful I thought it was just one of those icons at the bottom screen.
I couldn't tell which ptc site because back then there were a few that I visit. For all we know the ptc sites are legit but the sites that advertise there are the malicious ones. It was a learning lesson for me and I had been extra careful even with Chrome plug ins.

Well I think ptc sites should also be responsible on checking the ads they offer. Ads dont pay much, but it is even more disappointing that it can even harm our pc/laptops.

I agree. I've been redirected to a couple of dodgy sites from faucets but nothing too nasty. I've never had any malware installed!

For those people who wants some extra money online, faucets and ptc are good. But if you're a full time money online hunter. This will kill you spending all your day and having only 2bucks. But faucet is more good that ptc

You're right, but that's only if you're doing all the clicking yourself! As has been said before you need to thinking about starting up referrals so that other people do the claiming for you. The good thing about this strategy is there's no cash outlay and you don't even need a website to do it.

Exactly, that is why I stopped doing this too and switched to forum writing. You can only earn good amount of money if you have tons of referrals or if you always qualify to their survey(on ptc sites) which sometimes offer $1+, but even qualifying on surveys are hard, so reaching the minimum payout really takes a long time.
