GPS device maker Garmin was involved in a major ransom attack by a Russian hacking group called Evil Corp. The group demanded ransom money of about $10 million to be paid in cryptocurrency and in return they will get the decryption key, or else all of their systems would be shut down. It's not yet sure if Garmin had paid the ransom money or not...

This is very bad , I just hope there could be a solution because 10 million dollar isn't a small thing ,there has to be another way to catch those hackers

The company won't talk whether or not they paid the ransom but ensure users worldwide that their system will be back to normal in a few days.
every decision that will be revealed would make a huge impact on people, so people say for example : "Even that big company paid the hackers for the data"

I doubt if the hackers would just give the decryption key after they pay the supposedly ransom, even so they should be able to fix this as I think the hacker just locked out their system

Yeah, I forgot about that sorry. I just thought that big company like Garmin should be able to solve this kind of threat with relative ease.

well, it's a huge company and i'm pretty sure that they will be pushed to pay the hackers, because that data is worth even more than what hackers costed, unless the hackers get arrested
