CEO of Coinbase Brian Armstrong is reported to have been allegedly selling their analytics data to the US Secret Service. This came as a surprise to many Coinbase users and they expressed their criticism on Twitter, saying its a direct threat to their privacy. I mean it feels kind of awkward to know that Secret Service agents might look into your transaction history. However, Brian repeatedly said that privacy will always be protected no matter what

Well i just hope our personal data that we shared with coinbase like kyc , documents and date of birth are safe and private, i still believe in coinbase though.

I just hope this is just a rumour because if it comes true it will surely affect a lot of customer in coinbase market.it's just like they want to destroy the coinbase market.

yes its terrible news as for me and many others as we currently use it for many activities / and this news may affectcoinbase future directly

What I wish to know is that is the US government not having the right to request for subscribers data just to monitor all transaction to prevent security breach or phishing?

I hope those claims are not true and they are just based on a rumor. I would not like if my details and transactions are being monitored. Especially since I started using coinbase recently.

Nah, it's true. In fact, if you're using internet at all, most likely you privacy has already been compromised. Nearly all tech companies do it all the time. Including Google, Facebook, Twitter, Paypal, Whatsapp, Telegram and many more.

That is so unfortunate. Thank goodness I don't have much to hide. I just hope they don't sell the details to bad people. It can also be effective in catching those who are fond of hacking and stealing from people online.

I guess this might affect the number of users that use coinbase for trading , since there are other competing crypto exchange sites coinbase should have reject the offer
