In any interesting development, there are news reports indicating that Zimbabwe may start to list the prices of crypto on their stock market. This is of course dependent on and subject to a regulatory approval, but the thought process and consideration is definitely there in Zimbabwe.

This is quite a big change in position to cryptocurrency, as in 2018 Zimbabwe, and in specific the country's central bank, was completely opposed to the idea of crypto and wanted to stay as far away from it as possible. However this now shows a very different stance on crypto, with the mindset changing in the late months of 2019.

Could this be a solution to the possible economic problems that Zimbabwe has experienced in the past?

This in my opinion truly shows the reach of the cryptocurrencies and how mainstream it is becoming.

It is a good idea that the country has to reconsider the initial decision which may be due to volatile nature of Crypto currencies now that they see more benefits than harm, and they are listing it, is a good one and more Exchange platform will spring up.

A very good development in Zimbabwe and this will not only be of benefit to their economy alone but also to all Zimbabweans.
That is very true friend. This decision will not only be beneficial to only Zimbabwe or their citizens but will help grow the Crypto world as a whole.

Definitely agree with you here. I think that it will help their economy, but i am also hoping that if Zimbabwe had to list it on their stock exchange, that many other countries will also follow suit and there will be more legalization of crypto. This could be great for the price as well.

This is a good development and am happy at least some Africa countries are taking more steps on crypto currencies , this is very good

This development is really off the board, congratulations to Zimbabwe for the board step taken to show that at this moment its a win win situation to embrace cryptocurrency .More African coubtries shoukd follow suit so that more acceltanc of cryptocurrency will broaden...

I think that the market of crypto in the African countries is actually on the rise. I have noticed this because there is an excessive number of African countries that now house bitcoin atms, which clearly, in my opinion, shows their stance on crypto and how accepting they are of it.

Other African countries that have atms for bitcoin at the moment, are countries like Kenya, Ghana, Botswana, Zimbabwe and even Uganda actually. I think the most is in South Africa, but there are other countries such as the ones i have just listed that also have at least one.

That is great to hear. Yeah it is great to see that it is picking up quite considerably actually. I think that this will prompt more African merchants to start accepting crypto, because at the moment the number of merchants that accept crypto is quite limited.

Yeah this is a good idea, anything that can help enhance the economy of a region should be welcomed. Crypto currency is like the new wsy forward

I agree with you on this. Crypto is the new way forward and in the future this will definitely become a mainstream currency so it is best that countries get in on it at this early stage. Besides, i think it is about time zimbabwe lists it on their stock exchange as they already have a bitcoin atm.

Yeah right countries need to see the need of indulging in crypyo currency not judt on Bitcoin. Maybe they should be listed in their stock exchange as well.

The plan is already on top gear at the moment they just need to put basic factors into consideration so they are always safe once the listing is eventually done.

This is true , if Zimbabwe can succeed about this listing other countries will continue and the moment most countries list Crypto in their stock market , the issue of global acceptance will not be subject of discussion.

Ofcourse but I believe that corruption won't allow most African countries to adopt this . Their desire to control and amaze wealth through fiat currency won't allow such to exsit

I think that corruption is true globally. However, if it comes to corruption, i think governments would be more pro crypto because in a way with it not being traced easily they are able to get away with a lot more than regular fiat currency haha.
