Wizzley is an online revenue sharing site that has been around for over 5 years. The site is well established and many people are earning an income each month through their ad share program. In order to generate any type of money through the site, you'll need to have a Google AdSense account or a Chitika account. This way the ads displayed on your content will generate an income for you. This is a great content writing site, it allows you to pick and choose the content you want to write about and it accepts several different affiliate networks that you can use to embed your affiliate links into the content that you write. The site has a forum that is easy for you to join and offers a marketplace for all the members. If you produce any type of products or even services such as logo design or website building you can offer to sell your services in the marketplace. This is a good way to increase your income each month from the site.

How Does this Work?

Before you decide to join this site it is a good idea to have a Google AdSense account. If you're not accepted by Google AdSense apply for a Chitika account. It is much easier to be accepted by Chitika than Google AdSense.

The second thing you should have before joining the site is a few affiliate programs you belong to. This site allows you to embed your affiliate links in your content. However, they don't accept all affiliate network links on their site. You'll need to belong to the following affiliate networks in order to use your affiliate links:
  • AllPosters
  • Amazon
  • Zazzle
  • VigiLink
Create your account and join the forum while you are at it. The forum is an excellent place to find information, receive tips, and sell the products that you make. After registering for your account, you'll need to add your user ID for your Google AdSense or Chitika account. You can only choose one or the other for the site, you can't use both of them. Add your ID in the setting and the site will automatically configure your ads on your pages.

How To Make Money:

As a new member on the site, you'll have your ads displayed 50% of the time. The money you generate from your ads is directly deposited to your ad account. This could be Google AdSense or Chitika. Until you have posted 50 articles on the site it is a 50/50 revenue share.

Once you've reached 50 articles the site will increase your revenue share to 55%. You'll receive a 55/45 revenue share until you have written 100 articles for the site. After this, the site will share the revenue with you at 60/40. The top ad revenue you can earn will be 60%.

If you belong to a few of the approved affiliate networks it is possible to embed your affiliate links in your content. This way you have a chance to earn a commission if a person clicks on your affiliate links and purchases the product.

The last way you can earn an income from the site is by joining their forum. Here you can offer your products you make to the other members on the forum. People are selling homemade jam, bath bombs, soaps, logo design, website design and much more. This is an added source of income you can generate from the site.

Conclusion:

This is a legitimate site and you will receive your ad revenue because the money is directly deposited into your account. The site doesn't pay you directly and you'll be paid through your affiliate links or your advertising networks. Just keep in mind it will take time to get established on the site and start earning money.

Very interesting, thank you for sharing this information. To be honest, I've never heard of Wizzley although I've known of other related sites like Squidoo and Hubpages. Right now, do you think that setting up pages in such sites are better than maintaining your own blog? I know lots of people rely on their "Hubs" on Hubpages and earn quite a decent amount of money from it. The thing is, these are long-time members of the sites. And to compete with them would be quite hard especially if you're a new user.

Wizzley is particularly a newer site. From what I've gathered, it was created by the people behind Squidoo even. It doesn't have as much community as the two other sites I've mentioned though. That makes me both apprehensive and positive on the site. For one, it would be easier to write in there since there's not much competition. But then, if there's not enough traffic, then you cannot earn as much as well.

I'm still contemplating right now if it's worth it to join such sites especially with the new Google updates...

Squidoo was definitely worth it for a while, although in the last two years they played around with their algorhythms a lot and it really did impact their traffic and community - they banned many of their main contributors and community members and it didn't go down well. However since they closed and got taken over by Hubpages, a lot of the writers moved, some to wizzley and some to zujava (also closed).

Wizzley was created by one of Squidoo's users, Chief Keem, rather than the people who set Squidoo up and it has been running a few years. My only real problem with it is that unlike the other sites you have to have your own affiliate schemes and adsense ID to earn much from it, so the earnings aren't anywhere near squidoo's.

Compared to your own blog, if you aren't going to update frequently or write on a lot of topics, Wizzley can give you a higher page ranking and fast position on google. It's not either/or however, as it can also let you promote your own blog in your profile, which is a valuable backlink and source of traffic.

The one thing I always wonder about these sites, are they really worth it or should you just created your own blog? I guess there are a lot of people who dont´want to deal with hosting and stuff like that.. but I do not think the community traffic you get from these sites is worth the rev share you have to give up to post there.

I also don't favor revenue sharing sites. Considering how many of them have been closed down because they weren't earning enough money while others were forced to re-brand and get into different businesses, I believe that their business model doesn't work anymore and when creating content on such sites one should though they hope for the best, expect the worst.

Nonetheless I believe these sites can be a great platform to promote your blog as articles created on the site might rank faster.

I have never been a fan of these revenue sharing sites, and I don't like promoting articles and what not. I just like to write for cash straight up, and not have to bother about anything else. If it is something you are into, you would probably like Wizzley and similar sites. It all seems like too much work for too little reward.

Wizzley is an article site in the same way Squidoo was. While you don't get paid upfront for your articles themselves, you can embed a range of affiliates in them, including Amazon, Allposters, and wizzley even has a Viglink scheme where you can automatically embed Viglink across everything you write using a dedicated account. (You can also embed other affiliate links, but be careful as they do remove links and content they consider spammy). They work by putting your link in for a proportion of the traffic: you get 50% of the traffic for up to 50 articles, 55 for up to a hundred, and then 60%.

I have checked and they are, as far as I can tell, fairly reliable on this. As I manually embed my UK links (and get a regular return on them), the US traffic share can be hard to tell.

With a simply GUI, as an alternative to hubpages it works rather well. This is a passive income scheme, and while you will make more if you are active, you can also set up several articles and just leave them to sometimes give you a bonus to your affiliates, which is how I have used them. It does have a decent google ranking, so it gets a reasonable amount of traffic.

An easy way to use wizzley is to write a review of a film, and link to the DVD, movie poster, etc. That way you can get more traffic when the sequels come out, etc.

At the current state of the site, it's dormant. They don't get any traffic on the pages. Also the amount of people who used to be active have now reduced to 0. So they had quality control and other stuff there. But it didn't worked. As you can see they spent the resources on wrong things. And they didn't paid attention to getting traffic. This resulted in their issues not being able to resolved.

Thanks for this update,I was about checking this site out before I saw this, though I'm still writing for hubpages but wouldn't mind to add two good sites to my list.I just want to make my online experience worthwhile.

I've never heard of this site before. I'm wondering if you are still doing well on it. Can you show us any type of payment proof from your efforts. I understand this is based a lot on your affiliate links, but how can you tell if this site is actually making you money or not.

This site is new to me. I wanted to register on there but it seems that they are not accepting new registrations. I wonder if someone has been able to earn on there.

It is the first time for me, but I didn't try and register on the site. I wonder how long this site has been online and what you really can do there.

Have anyone tried this website and was able to get paid? It seems difficult to earn from these unpopular websites

Don't expect much from wizzley. After the google penalty. It seems like the site is not at all recovering. And that is going to be slow enough. And we have to cosnider that some of such sites are not easy to recover from here onwards.

Now this is interesting. It is good to know that the site has a penalty from Google and it is effecting the site. I think this alone is enough to stay away from the site and not bother to join or waste time on it.

It's not easy to register and earn from these websites and requires a lot of patience also. I think we cannot think of earning easily from it

There are many sites like this right now that have issues with Google and end up closing shortly afterwards, Many people start dropping off and not working on the site much at all. This causes them to loose even more revenue and in the end they close.

Thanks. You are so much knowledgable about it. Are you on multiple websites like that?
NO I'm not. I do earning programs reviews of different programs for making money online. I have a website that does this. I also have tested so many of these programs and learned how they work. This is important if you want to work online and actually earn money. I wrote a book several years ago about a few of the big scam artists online and how they sucker you into investing money with them. If you use your credit card, because you can't pay with PayPal, they automatically add a reoccurring charge on your credit card each month and you won't find out about this until it is way too late to stop it and you'll never get back all the money they've taken from you either.

Thanks you are review these very well. Writing websites can help earn but it's not easy and we need to have great sills for this
