Sometimes I'm using Yandex.ru. It's Russian search engine. It's very good and you can find a lot of useful information. On Microworkers you can find tasks related with Yandex.

I've actually heard about this search engine when working for some site, it is not bad at all tbh. the only bad thing is that it's russian-only so it can't become too popular

I like to use Google and TOR. Google is hands-down the best search engine for searching content both globally and locally. TOR is another great search engine if you don't want to be tracked and stay anonymous.

They have very good base of users in country from ex SSSR. Also many people want some good alternative to Google. Most problem is language.

Never knew about all these search engines.I think I had knowledge of about just three of them which are bing, yahoo and the giant google.I think Google is the most used and it my favorite too.

I have found bing and google to be the only dominating search engines. duckduckgo seems to have been lacking ins earch quality. though it's an alternative. currently it needs to have some level of funding. and it seems to be more adopted to the users.

My favorite search engine has to be google. I never enjoy it when I use other search engines, it is just not thesame. Google is easy and very efficient to use. Its features are excellent and never fails. I can't imagine surfing life without google.

Same over here. I use google most of the time, and never do my online searching via Yahoo or Baidu anymore nowadays.
I found it is almost everything on Google, never fail, I am very satisfy with this searching engine so far.

Most of sites do SEO only for Google and not for other search engines. I think they should do some optimization for other engines to.

I will also include YouTube. We tend to forget that this is indeed a search engine... a very powerful one which is sadly underrated.

Many webmasters start ranking videos on YouTube (Vlogs) even before ranking written posts. They know that if your media ranks well on YouTube, such signal is viewed by Google and your audiovisual content also gets a good ranking in there.

In few more years there will be moe visual search engines. and better data. so it can be fun to see how that progress is going to be made. I am sure that there aare always something new to explore. and something new to learn from. so you just have to be patient about it.

When I was first introduced to the internet, yahoo is the popular web search (even my first email id was linked to yahoo). But as time passes by, google is now the well known search engine globally (majority of emails I am sending to customers have google account id too).

Today, I think google is the number one search engine. I am happy about the improvements that they have and how close the possible answers they provide to the questions and things that I am looking for.

Just like many other posters here, I'm also picking google cos it is easier to get results from it, it is popular and highly efficient, I have heard of most other ones mentioned but not really familiar with them except for for search which is also efficient

I mostly use Google because it's much better at answering questions. But I think DuckDuckGo is an excellent search engine because its main draw is privacy and avoiding personalized search. Also I really liked its !bang feature. This command allows you to search another site directly.

I was earlier a fan of Mozilla Firefox but it has disappointed me a lot and from many years, I'm banking on Google Chrome and it's helping a great deal as well. We can easily add any extensions to it and they work very well and even the VPN extensions are very good and free and previously I have used them well to earn some money out of those VPN extensions as well.

DuckDuckGo squad UNITE!

Yeah, sure, Google's got a bigger index, but DuckDuckGo has a very big one itself (it shares with bing) and has nice features like stackoverflow search that a programmer like me can appreciate. Plus, at least DuckDuckGo isn't trying to follow me around with my data all the time!

Without any doubt and second thought, Google is the largest, best, and mostly used search engine of the current time. Bing is also a great browser but Google is ahead of it right now with a huge margin. Which one is your favorite folks? Share your comments with me.

This is such an insight. i have seen so many search engines that I did not know exist. I'm just used to Google and trying any other makes me quite uncomfortable with my search as I spend lots of time. Thanks for the post as I learnt that there are also niche search engines that will help me narrow down on my search. This will go along way in helping me with my researches considering that I do a lot of article writing online and with some it becomes quite hard in gathering information. Despite this, I will stick with Google for now.

I have worked with Bing, Yahoo, and even the older search engines but never seen anyone getting closer to Google and nothing can match the ease with which we can search from Google.
