Hi guys , I have a question
What is the difference between Mysql and SQL databases?
Like any novice programmer, I would like to know the difference between database types, especially Mysql and SQL, or, if one type meets the purpose of data storage, how many different types do you have?
Thanks

Hey there,

SQL stands for Structured Query Language. It's a standard language for accessing and manipulating databases. MySQL is a database management system, like SQL Server, Oracle, Informix, Postgres, etc. MySQL is a RDMS (Relational Database Management System).

SQL is the language used by MySQL databases.

SQL is the base language of the database. All SQL database makes use of that. SQL language is extended by MySQL, Postgres and SQL server. And the commands are changed in each one of them. So there are some differences in the operation of the each one of them. You can make use of the SQL commands in general in all of them. Just slight changes and the way the queries are to be fired that changes everything.

SQL - Structured Query Language. It is declarative computer language aimed at querying relational databases.
MySQL is a relational database - a piece of software optimized for data storage and retrieval. There are many such databases - Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, SQLite and many others are examples of such. an open-source platform that uses SQL, just like MSSQL, which is Microsoft's product (not open-source) that uses SQL for database management.

Your welcome. o_O
