Wealthy Affiliate is a site where you can learn how to build an online business, and there is a affiliate program where you can earn commissions from your referrals too.

There are two types of membership:
  • Starter membership (FREE)
  • Premium membership ($19 for the first month special offer, then $49 per month thereafter)

For starter membership, you will be given 2 websites and 10 starter lessons. From there, you can build the websites, start your business and generate traffic. I think this might be good for promoting affiliate products.

Referral program:

If the referrals have upgraded to premium membership, starter members earn $4 for the first month special offer, then $11.75 monthly and $87.50 yearly commissions.
For premium membership, it's double of this. The commissions sound attractive. ;)

Payment information:

Minimum Payout: $20
Payment processor: Personal check or PayPal

The company has been around since 2005. I just joined the site and wish I can set up the website there and start learning about affiliate marketing. I am yet to learn more about this site.

If you are interested to join, please click here: Wealthy Affiliate

Has anyone joined this site and what is you opinion on this?

The owner of Evergreen Wealth made a detailed summary with lots of evidence.
james-scholes.com/evergreen-wealth-formula-review/

Wealthy affiliate sued people that write negative reviews:
pacermonitor.com/public/case/21195091/Niche_Marketing,_Inc_v_Lenney_et_al

Everyone who makes money with affiliates know to stay away from Wealthy affiliate.
They have a bad reputation online.

"They certainly don't deserve a bashing from someone who doesn't even understand what their objectives are". Pardon me?
I know their objectives, that is to get as many members to upgrade to premium and shill Wealthy affiliate to other people.
"Their affiliate program is completely extra". Sure, that is why the site is called Wealthy affiliate.

The fact you left the program tells enough, which is that it didn't supplement your income enough to keep going with it.
I think this conversation is done, and I showed the facts that Wealthy affiliate is a scummy company.
They arent a scam, because they do pay out when you get paying referrals, but the chances are that 99% doesnt even get 1 paying referral, especially not at these exorbitant prices.
Clearly you have it out for Wealthy Affiliate and the biggest problem is that neither you nor the guy who wrote the first article have tried it or have you?
Personally I was not taught to write negative or comparable reviews about ANY companies, I was taught to write HONEST reviews about companies or products I have personally tested and that is what my site represents (go see).
So this James Scholes character is accusing ALL WA members of doing this, yet I know many members that don't do this, so why does he make such statements and underlines the word ALL
To me it sounds like this guy is a bit jealous of WA and they are clearly his competition. No surprise he has taken the time to outline what can potentially seem like discrepancies to the outsider but if you actually join you would learn it is not as you say.

I think a review is more about a person's opinion and should not be taken so personally. I agree that WA is not for everyone, especially for those who want to make money quickly.
I can only give my honest opinion based on my experience with them and their community, it was mostly good than bad.

No company is perfect I guess.

As for the reason I left - Once I completed the certification courses there was no need for me to pay $49 per month, a year was enough for me to learn what I need to know to go on my own. I figured I learned the skills necessary to move on.
Your assumptions astound me but all good :D

The main problem with WA is actually the members. I don't know if the company encourages them to only build review sites in order to tarnish other people businesses so they can promote WA. But I know that there are members that have taken WA training to build sites focused on their passions and they are successful.

Overall, I understand that it is annoying finding WA members talking bad about all make money programs. Anyways, we have to look carefully, and do our own research plus common sense when we are looking for a review program.

What I can say. I am a member of Wealthy Affiliate and it is quite useful for me. It is good to have training and extra marketing help online. Because there are so many members registered in this platform I am not surprised that someone may cross with weird people and sometimes unethical. But besides that you get hosting, SSL for your websites, 24/7 site support, website engagement and so on. Spending about 29,91 USD per month (if you choose a yearly plan) is not that bad. Of course, it is not easy to maintain a website, create content and so on. But you can evolve and it totally depends on your motivation, work and efforts.

I have noticed that any content that you find inside the wealthy affiliate, they can find the same in youtube. And that too for free. Most of the paid membership sites often have such free content available elsewhere. It can be pretty effective to try the youtube first and then you can think if it is not enough and you need to join wealthy affiliate membership.

Wealthy Affiliate (WA) is not a scam and I think the service (training) + the tools they provide are of good quality. When doing research on certain products or companies, I very often come across their members' websites. Proof that their site is optimized and well indexed. But seriously the problem with many of them is that they will never recommend the service or tools of another company to which they are not affiliated. They are simply trying to put their links in front of you while relying on the wrong side of the product or tool they are reviewing. So the problem is not WA, but its members. That's why I've always said: be your own judge when you have an opportunity before you and be wise when doing research. It's really a jungle on the net.
I am a free member of this company and if there is something I don't like about WA it's the cost of upgrades that I find expensive and that is not accessible to everyone.
It is better to do an annual subscription than a monthly one. But when you consider the quality of service they provide, it's worth it.

Luckily for you I already did the research and found out that Wealthy affiliate is a bad company that sued people that write negative reviews about them lol.
You might see some websites from other members of wealthy affiliate but those are only a few. Thousands buy their programs and never make it, but will be stuck to a very expensive membership.

I know you promote the website in your signature so I hope you reflect on that and find a better company to promote that doesnt prey on people that are trying to make a living online. Your choice tho, but believe me that 0 people here will sign up because they already know that they can find all the info on wealthy affiliate for free here on beermoneyforum :D

WA is still alive and kicking. I haven't heard that those who joined this has become rich. By the way, how true is that, that WA is running after its investors who write about a negative report about the site? Why are they doing that? It's the right of the dissatisfied investors to do that.

kicktracer011,

Why a company can sue someone for making a bad comment about them. I think that if the company is able to do so, it may be that the commentary may give false information about it.
As I mentioned in my first post Wealthy Affiliate (WA) is not the problem. The problem is people who are affiliated with WA and who do bad reviews on other companies by denigrating them in order to encourage people to join WA. It's unfair and frustrating when I see things like that on a site.
I promote WA because in terms of the quality of their service I am not to blame them. Only they are expensive, but quality always comes at a price.

I'm a current member I'm still way behind the cashout amount
Here's my statistics
63402

I have like 37 referrals only 1 upgraded, and upgraded again to one year, but was transferred to another referrer, my opinion, the owner must not allow referrer transfer out of gratitude so the one who referred gets all the benefits after all it's too difficult to refer paid members let alone refer a free member.

Once you upgrade you can't leave it, since that's the primary source of income of all members, secondary is when you follow carefully their steps you will earn from your wordpress blogs.

I'm looking in upgrading my account because it seems that is when one is serious with money making but I'm hindered because of funds. I will try my best to make good of this program and I hope all the positive reviews I read about this program is true.

the best way for me is while you're waiting for funds to arrive promote people there that you will know wants to earn money from wordpress blogs and then advise them to upgrade, because you can use your earnings there to upgrade, so in that way without pulling funds from your own pocket.

you'll receive more commissions but the strategy is you have to have friends willing to back you up when you upgrade that they will upgrade as well when they signup in your referral link.

Nowadays, it's too difficult to do this since in amazon kindle alone there are hundreds of ebooks that are free as long as you are subscribed to kindle unlimited.

because if they say that, you will backout at first day.
it's mlm thingy you know. people needs to know the benefits and advantages first not saying how much is it, for if they value those benefits and advantages that they will hear and know from you, then the price is not a problem, that's how mlm networking goes.
I have 33 referrals and one upgraded to premium for 1 year and i only got U.S.$15.75 supposed to be a monthly earning. you know what i don't like about this company, when this one premium member under me requested to be transferred to another upline, WA made it possible.

that's a no no when you 're in a mlm company you supposed to be stuck with your upline, i invested time and money with this person that's why he upgraded, well im guessing, i never heard him directly wanted to be transferred to another upline. that's not what i want, and kyle who's the part owner will never entertain email but only thru pm which if you are a free member you can't send a pm, you need to upgrade first to premium.

why most WA affiliates never say you must buy into the training from the start, they just keep promoting like its free. Then suddenly you must pay to continue and then earn?

they deleted my 2 wordpress site since i got inactive for 2 months not logging into their website and not updating my blogs with them. i thought this morning they are still existing.

90%+ multi level marketing programs are scam. Their business model is simply isn't sustainable long-term. Why bother learning from them if you can learn everything for free as long as you dig deep enough around the net. It's simply not worth it in my opinion.

you can earn also even for free, whatever you do, don't upgrade all their lessons are paid inside but it's free when you search on youtube. just add wealthyaffiliate in your searches, tip our secret, Shhhh

I've been in Wealthy Affiliate since this month, August. The reason why I joined this affliate network is because it's free but you can also upgrade to premium.

And the best thing about this site is that you can earn money with it.

That is why I'm asking if Wealthy Affiliate is a worth it or not? Please do give feedback.
