you are right PayPal always have this option if needed , but to be honest lot of freelancers are dependent on it for payments , usually in countries where students were not able to get a card easily craved for PayPal but now things have changed and banks easily allow cards to students as well with high limits , Xoom is a good alternative to PayPal , and payoneer has a lot of freelancers getting paid with minimum of commissions ,
