Now days of banning Bitcoin and Altcoins are going to be over, instead ban on Central Bank Digital Currency is the new demand.

Ron DeSantis, Governor of Florida, has introduced a bill in the state legislature to ban CBDC.

Political opponents are opposing the bill; crypto haters couldn't understand whether to support or oppose; but crypto supporters are enjoying this.

To be honnest DeSantis can try to ban this but if it is a federal and national tender, Florida HAS to accept this. As everything from Ron DeSantis, this is just populism and the trigger to oppose EVERYTHING comming from the Dems, specially Biden.
Nothing to worry he can try to ban it, but this would be as successful as banning the 10 Dollar bill.

Not possible, this isn't a National issue because every US state have its own constitution. Federal assembly cannot pass anything against intrest of a state without clear amendment. US dollar was accepted before the federation completed, now the situation is different.

This is a wise decision. That's why it is good to be running a confederation state where each state can decide what is good for them. CBDC is nothing but antithesis of cryptocurrency as it tends more of centralized body instead of decentralized.

In the end people will only use Crypto the authorities or central governments will fail to product a significant alternative and users will be free to invest in crypto markets any way they like and please actually .

The bill blocks the use of a federally-backed CBDC as currency under Florida's Uniform Commercial Code. It also prohibits CBDCs issued by a foreign reserve or foreign sanctioned central bank, and calls on other states to embrace the same prohibitions.

Good way to digitalise payments saves much energy you may waste in sending fiat payments saves a lot of transaction fees easier and reliable also efficient than swift making services much appreciated indeed .

I think they surely do have a reason for banning the cbdc project , it could actually be for a reason , probably the state is actually not prepared for the project , but I really want to growth of digital currency nevertheless

Exactly if a country does not considers something to be good for them then they have an right to ban such things whether it's a CBC or any other thing so the authorities are right here indeed and they have taken a calculated decision indeed actually .

They actually makes calculated decisions no doubt , before they actually ban something , they must have seen that it can't actually impact them like that ,then they would now make the move first

Yes you are right the strong countries always study an option and if they believe that the option is not for them they ban or block it but if it is good they consider it and study it and try to implement it as fast as possible indeed actually .

It is possible that the decision might be having a political undertone though the news is not really rich enough for us to know why the governor is legislating a bill to ban the use of CBDC in the country.

Well I think that many states being sovereign in the United States could be against the CBDC and dont want the FED owns the pockets of US citizens with the CBDC of the dollar, although now in July the FED will launch its payment project "FEDNOW" that could be the prelude to the CBDC of the dollar.

I think Florida have really been of the opinion of banning the digital currency project , they probably have there reasons for doing so , probably the government are finding it really difficult to adopt the system of it in the first placec

Remember that the mayor of the city of Miami is a great supporter of Bitcoin and wants to make Miami the city of Bitcoin in the United States, this gives us an idea of the vision that the state may have on CBDC do not you think?

Yeah the mayor is actually a great supporter of Bitcoin , but I was hoping to see if he could actually infulence the other mayor of the city to actually adopt Bitcoin. as one best payment method and option too

I also noticed that most countries or government do not give much priority to cryptocurrency space now probably because the market is in a bullish state as it were in the last three years. It is possible if BTC had reached $70k, more CBDC might have in trend now

well that is really difficult to do in a society that uses the world reserve currency such as the dollar, what need would citizens have to use Bitcoin, people if you do not give them a real advantage will not use it.

No CBDC amit BTC problem

Florida Governor Ronald Dion DeSantis has once again made it clear that CBDC will not be accepted in the state, despite complaints of interruptions and fee problems with bitcoin transactions.

This guy mean business with the disapproval of CBDC so the best is to allow the project lie low because he has the tools to frustrate the implmnetation. The citizens should work with btc and other crypto assets supported by Him.
