I recently got a free coupon for free ads (i really don't know why) and it was about to expire, so i decided to it to revive my old page, the coupon was worth of 5$, so i used it to boost one of the posts.
The results after 5 days were 800 reactions, 300 likes for the page and few shares that helped bringing more likes .
In my opinion, 300 likes aren't worth those bucks that i spent on it (i wouldn't spend it if it wasn't a coupon code at the first place, but it was free, so why not ) .
the question here is, should you use facebook ads to grow up your page ?
the answer is :

Yes, it's worth it if your content is decent unlike mine which was only a post about 'who do you like the most' and it was a general series page, if you believe that your content is worth liking, then go ahead, if your niche is dead, then just save your money because it's not gonna help, people will mostly just walk by the post and ignore it.

Yeah it depends on the kind of products you are promoting on Facebook because there are some that attract visitors and you can get more likes

I gave up on Facebook a long time ago. Social networks help to spread and give visibility, but selling is very difficult. In fact, the blue platform does not allow you to earn with link shorteners or video platforms that pay for visits, except for YouTube.

I have a channel on LBRY and I am subscribed to Facebook groups to attract visits by sharing links to my videos, but there are not many. What you do see very often is people desperately asking for jobs or people sharing highly violent content.

Not bad for a 'free ad'. I've not been lucky to receive free credit for Facebook ads. But we do pay for Facebook ads from time to time and I'd be happy with your results. The latest one we ran was worth $10 for five days - the report claimed the post reached over 14,000 and over 530 engagements - not that I understand any of it. Plus we can't exactly prove it, can we?! ? I was just happy that the post was shared 25 times.

So, why did you give up on Facebook ads, if you don't mind me asking? I find they really boost the figures but sometimes I do wonder if it's a false economy, but how to tell I don't know.

Yeah mate, Facebook ads are not very costly as well as they are very efficient for an traffic point of view as you can get good traffic from Facebook!

They are not mostly but you will have to pay more to get more conversations , unless you might just get few likes and that's all , so i still use it

I think this is the organic way to get interested human traffic on your page. Because through ads only interested people visit and join the page. Which means they are real and ll be permanent.
But if you want to increase only the numbers of likes then you can buy fake traffic but I am not in this favour.
I think some but real and interested people are best than more but fake people.

fake traffic helps nothing but in numbers to be honest, numbers that don't help in anything but might get your website in trouble in case you wanted someday to monetize your content
