I recently got a free coupon for free ads (i really don't know why) and it was about to expire, so i decided to it to revive my old page, the coupon was worth of 5$, so i used it to boost one of the posts.
The results after 5 days were 800 reactions, 300 likes for the page and few shares that helped bringing more likes .
In my opinion, 300 likes aren't worth those bucks that i spent on it (i wouldn't spend it if it wasn't a coupon code at the first place, but it was free, so why not ) .
the question here is, should you use facebook ads to grow up your page ?
the answer is :

Yes, it's worth it if your content is decent unlike mine which was only a post about 'who do you like the most' and it was a general series page, if you believe that your content is worth liking, then go ahead, if your niche is dead, then just save your money because it's not gonna help, people will mostly just walk by the post and ignore it.

normal page, 50K visits, 8886 clicks on the post, 414 followers, 404 likes, extremely good for something that you got for free from facebook

i guess i followed a tactic that i never planned for nor even thought of, in the first day i targetted a country, in the second day i added more countries, but as you know, the funds get decreased whenever there's more traffic incoming, so you better push ads in the regions where you are sure that the people of it are interested in that sort of content that you are providing

Of course Facebook ads is worth it and I think you got a pretty fair results with the $5 ad you use and you're also right about having a good content

No bro, I need traffic only from my country, the Algerian people aren't here much so the best way to attract them is Facebook or Instagram.

to understand more, as you know the Arabian people especially (Algeria, Tunisia, Marocco) don't have Visa or Master card to buy online from the interent (I mean buying products from Aliexpress for example or Alibaba... )
sometimes I am buying diamonds for the gamers of Pubg or Free fire and get some profits with the currency of My country (Dinar)

Hahaha yeah flexi you mean, I don't like that option of payment because I have already much balance their.
We are using CCP bank which I will give him my informations of my bank account and they will send to me dinar there.
It's a really good job especially if you will have many clients

Facebook ads are really great especially the paid ones. But if they do notwork for you you can always opt for ither advertising mediums.

yeah they indeed work, i meant overall that if you're planning to grow your platform's interface, you have to focus on the quality, so you bring likes n stuff

it's a different story when it comes to promoting a product, i was tracking a facebook page that was kind of dead, but with the help of facebook pages, they managed to sell a lot of computers from their stock, so playing with the price would also help, it's another story when it comes to services

I don't think Facebook is stupid , quite right they are have their challenges but they are still very well promoting ads and responsive to a greater extent base on my experience with them.

When it's not stupid and super beneficial, why do all the big brands stop investing in advertising with the poor excuse they do it because Facebook is doing too little to stop racism and discrimination on there social network ?
Apparently, the advertising "no more buying advertising on Facebook" works beter than the Facebook advertising ! ??
That network is good for people who want to share stupid YouTube videos, animated gifs, ..... and for the small independent entrepreneurs who can then make a free page for some free advertising !

Hmm,free money to advertise on Facebook is a good idea,personally I was expecting you to state the financial benefits for I cannot see any reason of having a budget to advertise and it is not converted to profits.Most people have testified severally that advertising on facebook increases sales,even you getting likes has a way of boosting your prospects base,a prospect can b come a client some day at some points.I strongly accept that Facebook is crowd puller or generates traffic.Though u did not get the financial rewards,but you need to restrategise to take full advantage of Facebook
