Microsoft is no doubt a successful business organization in the IT world. This company is set to buy one of the fast growing social media app Tiktok owned by a chinese man called Byte Dance .
Recall President Trump was against the app citing Security breach as a reason. Currently an American base company (Microsoft) wants to buy it.
How does this deal affect either China or US in their trade tension.

I installed when this app name was musical.ly i think. That time this app wasn't popular like now. It was late 2018 Maybe. then they changed their apps name.

musical.ly and tiktok are both different apps, they both belong to tiktok, but not the same app, musical.ly was shut down, then the users moved to tiktok

What..! First time i heard. Thanks for the info. I saw before, Tiktok apps publisher name was musical.ly That's why i thought they would move their name.

The other day I also read that
Trump issued executive order banning tiktok from US though not verified however the Chinese developer will not sell the app.

It is not the US government that wants to buy it but Microsoft that has their headquarters on US . There is no way China will allow US to buy the app .

it's not US that's buying the app if microsoft is buying it, microsoft as well as any other company that's based on US represent itself as a company and not as a country

The US government instructed Microsoft to buy the app from Dynacorp, the owner of Tiktok. As whether or not Dyna will accept the deal we can only wait and see.

Well, I'm pretty sure most Chine-made apps have some kind of spyware in those so yeah, it'll be a hard decision to make for the Chinese government.

Hmm . you raised a very important point here . I think this might be part of the reason why there was a delay in the deal coming to light . they won't want the illegal activities to be exposed .

Provided their is a time limit to the deal, whatever decision is being made can only go one of two ways. I think if The deal is not closed in the favor of Microsoft, it could expedite US government's decision to ban it.

Perhaps but we can never tell for certainty wehher US government was actually interested on the app , if not Microsoft buying it will have no Effect on the decision of US to ban it

It is very shocking. It is said US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin was involved in the negotiation process. If the acquisition is successful, then Microsoft has agreed with the US government to bring TikTok code from China to the US within one year.

Not really one year. Trump gave ByteDance, the company that owns Tiktok 90 days to negotiate, and if the deal failed to materialize then TikTok will be barred from US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
