There was a lot of buzz and hype created when the first ever Bitcoin ATM was started in the city of Bangalore . But the enthusiasm proved to be short lived. The Bitcoin ATM was closed today and the persons who had started it were arrested by the police India has declared that trading of bitcoin is not legal in India. That lives us with the question of the reliability of bitcoins as an investment option . Is it worth the risk ?

Investment in crypto currency comes with the risks every businesses faced.so if one is not ready to face the risk then it's better to opt out and look for a less risk investment.
I would personally say crypto currency is the real deal in the nearest future so making long time investment will be quite worth it than a short term investment that may not really yield more profit as expected.

I think you just need to live by the rule of your country. Crypto is worth the risk, both in terms of money and energy. But my experience with government has made me scared of it. I wouldn't have involved myself in crypto if it was prohibited in my country. I would have saved myself and venture into something else that may still be lucrative as crypto instead of locking horns with government.

@btaliat You are too late for the comment, the quote you answered was 2018 comment, now everything has been changed. Supreme Court in India set aside that order in 2020, and since then Govt has not issued any information about it expect that cryptocurrency bill is considered soon.

General public actually cannot fight government, those sitting in power are not actually representative of the people, but represent the power they have. Only courageous can do something.
