I own 45 domains all registered with GoDaddy.
I developed almost 20 or so and the rest are for future projects.
I have to confess the renewal is a real pain in the *ss but I'll keep them as long as I believe I can achieve success.

I own in the past around 200 domains and left them due to family problems, presently 8 domains including a company website.
Two of them are developed including a shopping cart. All of them are from Godaddy and hosted with Indian hosting provider. My hosting company really sucks now looking to move Crocweb hosting.

Currently, I own three domains and thinking to register more. I don't think I will renew one of my domains because it is xyz domain. In my experience, xyz domain have bad reputation. All of my domains are registered with namecheap.

I dropped 2 domains last week, one was a blog for my sister which she never update it.
Now she wants an YouTube channel, my luck this is free to create one ;)

I used to own 1 domain name, it was hosted free with a free forum host. However, I don't own any domain names now since I sold it! I'm considering to start another website soon.

i have around 30 active domain, and yes it'll little bit pain when the expired day come :D
i have some .id domain that need $20-$35/year (around 250k-500k in my country currency) for renewal. :D
don't worry as long as you keep on the road and believe you'll success, no need to get pain for your investment ;)

It's good for dropping domains, since it make us a lot of stress when their is no incomming of money. I have only 4 domains presently and looking to concentrate only on 2 domains.

I didn't have one yet. But will soon starts with 3 domain. Still in the planning process at the moment.
you should reserve your domain first, then create the content :)
so people can't steal your domain when you planning something now and buy domain later :)
*based on my own experience.

I don't really think that the domain would be stolen in the near future. Just need some times. haha. I am still wondering if this is the right thing to do. Any tips for a newbie? Pm me if you want to talk privately as i dont think this thread is the suitable for tips to a newbie.

I have just 8 domains lol all of them .com's.
Really domaining is so addictive, but I really got so disappointed there.
and finally decided to quit this field :D
but sure I'll keep in touch with related news ;)

So far 10 I am guessing. All of them are kind of like not much earning. I gave up on some of the adult domains. I had some CPA offer bassed domains. And also some of the domains for the blogs which are not working much. So in that case I'm just struggling to get things going. I would say some of the domains I have owned in the past are now must be doing good. But I am not planning on adding more domains to my portfolio. Hopefully get existing one to work well.

I've been thinking... Who "owns" the domain? Am I not just "renting" it? Slapping a title to something doesn't define it's true nature.

Anyhow, I'm currently holding onto 3 domains (+1 free domain).

They're all the same exact domains except for their endings which are different. Why have I done this, one might be wondering. I often wonder about it as well... I was hoping I could seize the niche by controlling the more popular domain endings. And now I'm thinking that maybe I can increase the value of the 2 other domains if I succeeded with this one domain I'm trying to build into something. Or maybe, if I had any success, I could simply use them for profit somehow else...

I had to deleted about 7 domains, they were supposed for 7 new projects however one year almost passed and I did not have time nor will have, I'm too damn busy, and I decided to not renew them, to let them go.
I think now I have around 30 domains or 35. Honestly, I don't know exactly, they are spread on multiple accounts that's why.

Do we really need domain names? Is it compulsory for people who work online and have websites? I have no domain. I couldn't imagine one person having more than 40 domain names either
