Hello BFMers...
I have been considering creating a YouTube Channel for awhile, I was going to make a Gaming Channel, but I am reconsidering in making a Make a Passive Income YouTube Channel...
I have never had a YouTube Account with 1000 Subscribers and/or 10K likes...
If I post 3 videos a week, how long will it take to be Successful and begin making money through YouTube?

@Marcelino1, I am just hearing it for the first time that it is possible to monetize YouTube channels from the scratch. I do think one needs to meet some certain circumstances like having some number of subscribers and amount of numbers of time for viewers. I will like to know more about it.

Of course everyone who is making money on YouTube starting from the scratch.

What I meant is that I have seen some people start their YouTube channel with 0 subscribers and witnessed the kind of things they did to get a lot of followers and be able to monetize it within some months.

That will actually be possible if you are adding value to people and you are in a very good niche.

There are also some other ways you can make money through your YouTube channel even if you have not yet met the 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours benchmark. you can start to sell your courses through your channel especially if you are in the make money online niche.

You can also sell affiliate products.

Thanks for the clarification, I have seen and heard many people that sell their products on YouTube. Some even have their class session to teach different skills on their YouTube channels. I think this is even better and lucrative than the money YouTube will give for viewing rate.

This is the reason why those who are in the make money online niche always have more opportunities to make money with their YouTube channels.

The fact that there are so many people looking for different ways of making money online if it makes it easier for you.

You can fix mentorship classes on a WhatsApp group or telegram group and get people who are interested through your YouTube channel.

They can pay you reasonable amount of money to enroll in your class.

I think it depends on two things, one is the type of video your making and how you will be marketing it. The video has to be reach in content and short, because long video appears to be boring after few minutes. Another thing is the niche were your video is base. If you take care of these, in no distant time, you will have a lot of followers.

In addition to what @achawaskey suggested, it is better to make the video with good video making applications. The more the quality of the video, the more people may want to watch the video. Personally, I do skip some videos no matter how useful for video is, if the graphics is not appealing.

On the flip side, I know people are interested in short videos but the truth is that it does not really add a lot of value.

Whenever I want to learn something on YouTube especially when it pertains to making money online I always go for videos that expands to1 hour.

That is because I have been able to get a lot of value from such videos. Short videos of 10 minutes or five minutes as a case maybe will not go into details.

And if you want to monetize your channel you need to use longer videos in order to reach the 4000 watch hours faster.

As far as I know, you need to have 4,000 hours of views from your channel as well as 1,000 subscribers within the 1-year.

Google's AdSense program is how YouTube compensates its creators, but it may take some time to learn how it all works. Know that any time a viewer views or clicks on an ad inside your video, you will earn money. You will receive 55% of the resulting revenue, and YouTube will keep 45%. There is also country tier; 1st world countries will pay you the highest while 3rd world is the lowest.

@Xrin Nightfall , thanks for the information. Though like I mentioned in my previous comment, I do know there are some steps involved but I am not sure of those steps. But with this, I find it too stressful to accomplish within a month.

There are many folks who are selling gigs on Youtube. For example, you will find many Youtubers selling Fiverr gigs and pinning it in their description box. People should know that Youtube has its own terms and conditions pertaining to promotion of affiliate links. This is a very important thing to consider, as the channel may get demonetised if a person violates their terms and conditions and start promoting links that are not allowed on Youtube.

This is why I would recommend people to create content which is oriented and made for the western audience. This also includes creation of content related to politics and economical issues in the western countries, which has been gaining a lots of attention from people, as the economy of many European countries is in a bad condition. This could generate much revenue.

Being a content creator whether on YouTube or blog is not easy. You have to be ready to pay the price first before embarking on that journey. Are you ready to post consistently for a year even when you're not getting good traffic? Creating viral videos will make it easier too.

If you posted daily at least 1 video of game and searching the best keyword to relate your video than your channel will be grow slowly slowly.

I don't think there is a set term for success, it just comes naturally depending on what you post and attract. Some found success after 10 years, others after 10 months, each with his own luck and strength. You definitely need help to grow fast, some get famous with one video, others with several. I believe that success is not a defined term, no one can say whether you are successful or not, it comes when you feel fulfilled with what you do.

To me having a YouTube is one thing but the most important things are; what is your niche? Is the content of your videos appealing to your subscribers? How do you promote your YouTube channel?

Though posting your videos 3 times a week may take longer period like 1 year 6months before you start seeing the results.

But though that shouldn't discourage you. Napoleon say a journey with thousands miles begin with a step.

So start now before you know it that passion can drive you to produce more videos than what you anticipated.

I quite agree with you. If you are trying to teach people then you don't need to use pidgin English but if you are into comedy or entertainment and your target audience are the people in your country, then you can use the language because they understand.

I personally know a lot of people that use pidgin English in their YouTube channel because they are into entertainment and news and they got a lot of views.
You're right about that actually. I have seen so many skit makers from my country that own a YouTube channel and they make use of this pidgin English.

My comment was for those who are actually running an official YouTube channel where they pass maybe business ideas to their audience and stuffs like that.

Unfortunately, posting videos regularly is not the only thing that you may need to do. I have also noticed that there are a few channels that post videos regularly, but still the number of subscribers on those channels is quite low. I guess that they are not using keywords, as their description box is empty most of the time.

Yes , you are right when I talk about posting regularly it must be relevant posting with good content.

Keywords is very important in any online business because that is what your visitors will be searching for.

Next thing could be how you promote it. You can still buy traffic and people will still subscribe to your channel.

Using of keyword not only involved adding tags alone. In fact, this could even involve using proper keywords in the description as well when you tend to upload videos. Unfortunately, many people ignore this and they post irrelevant text in the description. I also believe that when your viewers comment ion videos using keywords, this could also have a positive effect on your video's SEO in youtube's search engine.
