❕NEWS Google is facing a huge legal backlash as the US's department of justice indicted them

As reported by various news outlets, The department of Justice has filled in a lawsuit that go against Google due to the monopoly they have. So far, no regulation exists to keep Google from squashing smaller rivals and this legal case will pave the way for stricter regulation in the future. Currently, the case focuses on how Google monopolizes the search engine market and search-based advertising. Many state attorneys from different regions have joined force to bring Google to Justice.

The fact is that there are other search engine out there and it is the people's choice to stick to Google thus I don't see any reason for sueing them to court

Monopoly is the problem.

I try as much as possible to comprehend the subject matter and in my own understanding, if Google was not given a legal backing to operate solely in the market I don't see any reason why they can kill their rivals except they are doing that technically or professionally.

You mean big companies never or unable doing behind-the-screen dealings like these:

I am thinking that maybe Google used some form of magic to brainwash people into using only Google search engine?. Unless there are laws broken by Google in tackling their competition, then, the legal case is a ridiculous one.

They, obviously, don't do magic. What they do however is to hinder or disrupt rivals from within. With money, they can do anything they want, legal or illegal.

Yeah. In addition to that , they never forced anyone to use their products , it because people love their product thus any company that offers good product should be allowed to enjoy Monopoly

HYIP owners never ever force people to use their service and yet people still consider them criminals.

Those businesses have just followed the rule of 'survival of the fittest'. Unless their activities have been illegal, I still don't see what is bad in acquiring another business to remove competition. Any business minded person will do that.

That's it , Facebook did that with instangram and WhatsApp so I don't see anything bad, if any business can beat Google they should strive to cross the hurdle.

Yeah they can't force anyone to use their products why would they even do so when they are already popular , and they offer good service too

Google is much more than a search engine. They have adsense, youtube, cloud storage / computing, android OS, chrome, and a lot of other small services that on their own they could be surpassed naturally because, in my opinion, the only area where they truly excel is their servers - they are fast and offer lots of storage capacity. But when they can deny your freedom of speech and suppress your business's ability to reach your target audience AND willfully do, regulation must be applied. This is not just about google. This is about all the tech giants working together to suppress innovation. If google is targeted for anti-trust then others will take note or suffer the same fate. IMHO

I use incognito mode to pervent load on history, cookie, catche etc. Nothing more is of any use in this mode, it only prevent too much junk and browser runs properly.
pretty much the same here, sometimes when i don't want stuff to appear in my searchlist on my google account or browser's history, i use it

This is not much of any legal use, it is people's choice and service offered by company.
For example if we have to upload something to share or to store, we need such service, Google drive is available for this.
If we need blogging, Blogger is available for this.
Google have 15 GB storage for free per account, this helps. People do not need to find out other site for these service, because while using gmail only, these things are just a click away.

So it's okay for them to do these kinds of stuff then?

Sorry to say to you but the laws and rules about monopoly and fair competitiveness are not just about "big companies buying small companies". If governments don't put restriction on them, they might as well buy several countries and make themselves king. Being popular doesn't mean that they're the best. That's why Linux users are keep increasing as more people become aware of all the crimes these tech companies do.

Us regulators find after 16 months investigation that google missuse users data.
And many people already knows this data stealing if there any better search engine there,it will be better for users.

Somebody finally addressed the elephant in the room

There are already some -
Yahoo
Bing
Rediff (India)
Yandex (Russia)
DuckDuckGo
Wiki.com
etc etc
however it is all up to users what they want to use.
Many people are aware of such search engines, but use google, because people use Yagoo, Gmail etc which have just one click for google search, then typing and going to other engine.

Even i prefer google
Because we used to grow up with it many site's seo for google and everywhere prefer google most.
Hopes,a good alternative will come against google

Use Duckduckgo people, it's the same as Google but without the many problems Google has. You can set it as your default search engine in your favorite browser's setting.

Online earners should opt for a paying browser, there might be not 100% privacy, but earning comes with it and not freebie like google. Other options are available in many search engines.

The only true way to earn online is to master the art and science of webmaking, design, marketing along with affiliate marketing, not PTCs, not browser mining, not microjobs, not HYIPs.

Not forum posting either.
I mean we are online earners, so we should go with earning ways.
New earners should always start with easy ways like PTC,browser, forum posting and then go for higher.
If google pave ways to others, there are many chances to become part of revenue sharing with browsers.

Why make deal with the devil? Which browser offers revenue sharing other than Brave or Crypto tab, but then without good PC most people wouldn't be able to get a profit from crypto tab alone.

Google is owned by Alphabet, and search engine of Google is it's biggest revenue source. In Adsense Google pays 68% of it's revenue. When it comes to competition, there is chance to be part of that Search earning too.

You mean one day Google will implement revenue sharing with its users? Keep dreaming pal, why would they do that when they can simply steal your data for free by using the search engine.
