In an interview, Mary Jo White emphasized that the US Securities Commission's (SEC) suing blockchain giant Ripple was a fatal mistake. White criticized her colleague Jay Clayton for suing Ripple as a former SEC executive:
---- "As a former US attorney and SEC administrator, you shouldn't take the case to court until you understand it. This is not a situation for me to walk out the door.''----
What do you think of these statements?

It is a show of regret by them, this is just it is always good to slow down a bit when you want to start a war. Think about the future and the damages it might cause or bring. I have always known that this was a wrong step but all the same it was good that ripple wasn't grounded at least it is recovery now
Ripple has been resilient but it would even be better if the lawsuit file against the company is brought to a reasonable conclusion. Although some of the exchanges that delisted xrp in the past have now seen reason to enlist it again, some investors still prefer to play it safe until there is a definite conclusion to the lawsuit.

Perhaps this is same with all companies, but as Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has opposed the SEC, saying that the SEC deals with companies with threats because those companies are not able to fight a legal battle. Explaining his position, Garlinghouse has stated that the facts and the law are favoring Ripple, and that the company spent more than $100M in legal fees.
