Contentgather Review.jpg

ContentGather is both a content site or you to sell your pre-written content in their marketplace and a content mill site. The site has a special section for custom jobs that you can review and take to earn extra money on the site. If you are 18-years of age or older, you can fill out the registration form to join this site. The company is looking for a native English speaker who has excellent writing skills. They say you can live anywhere as long as you can prove that your English writing skills are top-notch. In one section on the site, they say they will accept anyone who lives in the United States, Canada or the UK to join the site. However, if you can prove to the company that you can write a great paper in English they will allow you to join this site.

How Does it Work?

You must register with the site and fill out your profile in order to submit content for review. The pre-written content that you submit to the site will need to pass through the content moderators on the site.
When joining the site, you must be 18 years of age or older. The clients who visit this site are native English speaking clients, therefore, you'll need the writing skill that fit these qualifications in order to be accepted.
The site requires you to have a PayPal account before you can join. If you don't have one it is necessary to create one so you can join.
Make sure you fill in your complete profile on the site. This is one of the requirements.
You must submit a few articles to the marketplace when you first join the site. They won't give you access to the custom jobs until you have at least 1 article approved in the marketplace for sale.
How To Submit Your Articles:

If you have any pre-written articles that were rejected from another site, you can submit them here to this site. The site will review your article and either approve the article or reject it. There are a few articles that are returned to you and you're asked to edit this article and send it back in.

If your article has been rejected there is no possibility for you to edit this article and send it back in for approval. However, you can always try a different article if you wish.

After an article has been approved by the site it is placed in the marketplace for sale. You can choose how much you want to sell your work for. Just keep in mind when the article is sold on the site, you won't earn the full price for selling this article. The site will take 20% from the sales of the article as their commission for hosting the article on the site and selling this for you.

The company only accepts articles that are 250 to 1500 words long. So make sure you fall within these guidelines when you submit your articles to the site.

How Are You Paid?

The amount of money you earn on the site will depend on your level and rating on the site. The site will pay $0.02 to $0.12 per written word. As a new writer on the site, don't expect to receive top dollar for your article. You more than likely will receive $0.02 per written word. This will increase as your ratings and levels increase on the site.

You'll need a balance of $5 in your account before you can request your payment. The company takes 24-hours to process your payment. Afterward, they send the money to your PayPal account.

Has anyone ever joined this site?

What do you think about this site?

Blog is better but then problem is also there. Wait for the passive income with blog or make money with active income from assignments. So it depends on what makes you comfortable. Not every site can tell you what to do and what not to do in that case as well. So it depends really. I guess for all of us we have that choice of posting till we build some nesting money.
Why not both? For example, if someone who requested an article rejects my work, then I could post it on my blog if the topic fits.
Well, this assumes I always keep a copy of my works though.

I have registered and must admit I haphazardly wrote an article which was rejected. I have not gone there again I need time and a bit of concentration while writing there. So used to writing short posts at forums that my writing ability has taken a toll.

Yes you are right. You can do both. But often most of the requested articles have this niche request which can be something you may not be posting on the blog. Contentgather is something I'd say should be considered for passive income. And not something I would do for the active income here. The reason being contentgather requires effort. Not something we can write late night and post it type blog work.

I am sure this is not a venue for me because my article writing skills are average and I do not believe that my grammar will be appreciated there.
I will improve and see if I can leverage something like this in the future.

So this is another legit site, thanks for making this thread to learn more about contengather, Once I was regular content writer but to be honest my grammar is not so good so i didn't dare to join these kind of site even those are legit.

@7chaz One needs to constantly write to be able to churn out good articles. Writing short posts on a regular basis as is happening with me atleast I feel I am losing the will to write articles. I will have to make a concerted effort in that direction and this I think I could do by posting first in my own blog.

Yeah, I get what you meant. For example, product reviews can't really be used on blogs. No one really wants to talk about a vacuum cleaner.
However, there are times where decent topics about health show up, which is interesting enough for me.

Use Grammarly for starters. It corrects your mistakes and you'll slowly learn from there. ContentGather is actually a nice content mill for beginners.

Reviews can be purchased by some of the content gather buyers. So that's possible. You can also see that contentgaather seems to have plenty of buyer for short reviews of other services. So that's something worth checking out. I think iwriter is another site if you want to check out some of the services such as that. textbroker is harder to make use of though. considering they have test go through there as well.

I joined this site recently and submitted a sample article in marketplace. It was approved in a day. So I submitted an article in the custom job. It was rejected saying it had grammatical errors. I submitted a similar article again after checking with an online grammar checking tool. They rejected that article also and suspended my account.

I tried to contact the customer support for the reason. But I didn't get any reply till now. I am very disappointed with this site.

Use Grammarly. :D I don't think they have high standards for grammar to be honest. I used to have lots of yellow errors in Grammarly back then when I was a newbie, and they still accepted my (crap) articles.

I don't have the patience to try this site again now. I got very disappointed by the suspension without telling any reason. They could have rejected my first article itself if my writing was not good.

I have heard about grammarly. Is it completely free without any limitations?

You get the basic grammar correction functions with the free version.

This is no scam site.I'm a member of the site.it an article writing site an affiliate of postloop a content exchange site.with gather content you must be good with English language or else your article would not be accepted.
Signup on the site is fast and simple.you just sign up and comfirm your email, then you login to write and post your article.

You wait for 24-36 hrs for the review of your articles by the editors and if it passes quality control, you're paid a fraction of the total amount while you wait until the article have been sold for the remaining money.

you can also pick a topic from the site to write for a client.

This site used to be Postloop, but now redirects here.

Content Gather seems to be about writing articles for people to buy. It says it takes anyone from English speaking countries and pays by Paypal. There seems to be a thriving marketplace of articles, but while I have signed up I'm not sure about giving content to them because the dashboard is unreadable on my system (half the options are blocked by the menu). Has anyone used it, and can they reveal how well it pays?

https://contentgather.com/r/4538

Is it similar to Gather.com? Or is it used to be Gather.com? I was a member there before.

I joined ContentGather last month and I like it because it is user friendly. I haven't uploaded any article yet because I am still trying to understand the site and learning how I can thrive there. I don't want to quit it like I did with freelance sites.

I submitted my first article there today, but my optimism has somewhat been dampened. That an article can run for 3 months without being sold is not encouraging. But then, a blog can take quite some time before it starts to generate revenue. Any alternative sites?

I have family who have earned here in the past. Both say rules are more strict now and its hard to earn there. One used to earn 100.00 per month there. She says now 15.00 would be great. So for those reasons Ill think Ill pass and look for a better one.

Just to update. I had submitted 10 articles to ContentGather for their article market. Only 1 article was sold. But recently, I was surprised to receive an email which says 2 of my remaining articles were sold for a total of $13, that's already exclusive of the marketing fee and the downpayment that I had received previously. Well, that proves one thing that the article market is still ongoing.

It's good to know you are doing quite good there. I hope your articles will continue to help you generate some revenue.

I was checking my PayPal activities, and found a few payments made by Content Gather, and I had no idea what this site is about as I didn't sign up to this. I am glad I have found this thread and realized it's actually PostLoop. So it means PostLoop has always been using the company name Content Gather even when they were running PostLoop. I didn't even notice that in the past.
