This could be trying to entice you in so that next year they hit you with huge renewal prices. From what I can gather, they could charge you $20 for renewal. They also try and charge you $9.99 for what appears to be WHOIS protection, whereas many companies do it for free.
I've said it before, I'll say it again - use tld-list.com to get a better perspective about each registrar's prices. For example, porkbun will give you a .com for $7.56 the first year with free WHOIS protection (so already better value) and $8.56 renewal.

It seems the offer has been closed. Did you make any sales to beermoneyforum members? I can't see any testimonies.
I just wanted to ask, after the 0.99 bucks, what's next? Renewal will cost how much?

Alright chief thanks for the feedback. I just wanted to know if, most people who took up the offer knew the consequences.
Thanks for your input anyways.

You are right, this is the gimmick used by hosting companies to lure the unsuspecting. With offers this low comes with high renewal fees and protection fees. People should always first finds this out before buying.
