very easy to start and do the mining process
how to get started:
- You can create shortened URL and share, any URLs that open mining will run on your dashboard
you can open your own URL, or share it with others
- mining using your blog / website, just need to add the script code and your account API
there are some other ways that you can apply, but the way above that I think the easiest
note: I have not been able to prove this is legit or not, because the minimum payout is quite high, minimum payout 0.5 XMR

Is Mining Monero thru CoinHive Legal and Safe?

If you don't know, CoinHive offers a browser-based mining of Monero or XMR coins. Some website owners utilize this facility for them to earn more. But, even if you don't have any website, you can still earn from them by creating an account and starting the mining process. Now my question is if it is legal to mine monero since Monero is being used in black market as per the article i have read.

it's legal to mine Monero and any other crypto currency as long as the laws in your country don't forbid it. Of course if you use the coins to buy/sell ilegal stuff on the black market it's not legal.
Many webmasters put the coinhive mining script on their websites without notifying the visitors which is not correct and could cause computer damages if they set up the mining on 100% and you keep the website open for long.. Fortunately my antivirus program detects that and blocks the mining script.
I tried mining on coinhive for awhile but their hashrate was too low and I switched to another miner.

all cryptocoin is legal and safe
just depends on the owner of the coin itself
still remember the virus ransomware
this is the same story with bitcoin used as a means of payment
there is no problem with the cryptocoin itself

Faucethub runs cpu mining on there site and its from Coinhive. Be very carefull as your cpu's can overheat and make sure you monitor your cpu with software as you can control the temperature. I tried it eh! its not bad.

So i have introduce this feature on my site (ofc i notify users upon the entry and give them the chance to chose to allow or cancel mining). After 24 hour test i am not to optimistic.

Here are some stats for 24 hour:

Since i am new in this crypto world i have much to learn but i am interested to hear opinions from more experienced members about that stats.

For example by using a coinpot widget for a few hours to mine LTC i manage to mine: 0.03042861 ltc. By today prices i made 3x more mining ltc for a few hours then xmr for 24 hour.

Problem is that when i use coinhive opt-in i have no problems with antiviruses and AB but with Conpot's widget i still get AV warnings even if it's a widget that have to be enabled by users.

I have been trying it for a while and it works nice but payout is high if you have a good computer you can make mbtc quite fast but I just have a laptop with no GPU only CPU so I depend on referrals to help me mine... I registered with Coinhive and found out if you mine directly on there site at full power you get half the hash power.
Examples, my CPU with 6 cores can push up to 150 H/s on some Pools and on Coinhive I get 60 to 75 H/s so where do my other 75 hashes go. My honest opinion sites like this are SCAMMING the world as we speak. "Keep an a close watch as some mining sites are adding mining to there websites and mining with your PC without your consent" . For some of you may think this is OK but for me if I was to keep my PC running for a month and receive half of what I can earn somewhere else that would be a door stopper right there. I find its getting harder to mine with CPU's these days as difficulty rises and profit decline. Has anyone tried mining with Windows 10 Bitcoin Miner well its the same as Coinhive.

If a crypto coin being used in black market was only the factor that decides whether it's legit or not of a site handling that coin, then every site is not legit. Because every crypto coin is used and transacted in black market due to its anonymity. Bitcoin is the biggest currency that is often used in black deals or money laundering or slush funds. But sites that handles Bitcoin cannot be considered only coz bitcoin is used in black market.

Mostly people like coinhive mining script as a publisher but I think this is not good to mine without permission of any users I saw lots of blog that mining on browser.

Coinhive is although a good technology to mine monero cryptocurrency, however it is misused too much for cryptojacking; so I already blocked coinhive in my device and any other mining without my concern.

Many search engines and antiviruses are blocking sites with coinhive code. Better to use alternatives, like Gridcash, for example. Alse they have less fees.

I doubt there's a lot of people on BMF that monetize their website with Coinhive, but its good to know that Coinhive is going to shut down on 8th of March.

It's no longer news that CoinHive has shut down as of March 8 due to the minning service no longer being profitable.
Love it or hate it, CoinHive was one of the most popular browser based monero miner out there and it served as an alternative monetization method for developer who don't want to include ads in their apps.
While looking for alternatives, i came across CoinWebMinning, i haven't tried it and it looks like it's still in BETA.
Have anyone one here tried it?
Also what other CoinHive alternative are you aware off?

yes coinhive is down and thats sad news for many people. I dont know about coinwebmining , but you can try JSE coin, this one is getting popular nowadays after coinhive was down. Eobot is another option where you can get daily free coins through faucet and use those coins to buy a contract.

I've also noticed that webminepool is quite popular, it's pretty similiar to Coinhive.
