U must use your real name nd documents .

An account that is not verified has serious limitations and very risky to use in holding or transacting funds in PayPal because it can be freeze anytime.

Opening account with a fake name is very simple because you wouldn't need to verify it but it will come with some limitations. So to avoid that just use your real name so you can easily verified it

The best thing is to avoid using social media accounts for signing up , secondly to endeavor to use one particular separate email for signing up

Exactly. Back when my account wasn't verified yet, I was nervous that some problem might arise. Til I got it verified, I'm now comfortable making transactions.

No, it is not illegal but not legal also, because making fake id is not a great idea but you can't use a paypal account with a fake name as paypal demands verification in which you have to provide your id proof. Without which, you can't able to transfer, receive or add money through paypal.

It's impossible reason being that you have to supply your means of identification and the names will not Tally. Therefore the account wont be verified. It'll be dormant

Yes you must supply your means of identification but come to think of it I will advice that you are puting such account at risk,there is a greater chance for you to loss the account if you uses fake information to operate paypal account.dont try this or you will regreat it sometime latar
