Wealthy Affiliate is a site where you can learn how to build an online business, and there is a affiliate program where you can earn commissions from your referrals too.

There are two types of membership:
  • Starter membership (FREE)
  • Premium membership ($19 for the first month special offer, then $49 per month thereafter)

For starter membership, you will be given 2 websites and 10 starter lessons. From there, you can build the websites, start your business and generate traffic. I think this might be good for promoting affiliate products.

Referral program:

If the referrals have upgraded to premium membership, starter members earn $4 for the first month special offer, then $11.75 monthly and $87.50 yearly commissions.
For premium membership, it's double of this. The commissions sound attractive. ;)

Payment information:

Minimum Payout: $20
Payment processor: Personal check or PayPal

The company has been around since 2005. I just joined the site and wish I can set up the website there and start learning about affiliate marketing. I am yet to learn more about this site.

If you are interested to join, please click here: Wealthy Affiliate

Has anyone joined this site and what is you opinion on this?

That is why there is full training available at Wealthy Affiliate, you don't need any skills to get started and you will learn if you make the time to watch the training videos and complete the tasks.
Thanks for giving me such insights, I think I should really go for a training so that I can really understand on how wealthy affiliate really works.

So if I don't have any blog or website the only way to eran is either by referrals or buy an account? And is this available in philippines ? If you could help me and enlightened me. I would like to join by your referral link.

Hi, the idea is to create your own website or blog through the training courses but this is not compulsory.

If you join and promote the affiliate program the best thing to do is register for the yearly premium membership and then promote this on social media, traffic exchanges, forums etc. for an entire year and commit yourself! That is the only way this will work.
You can earn $175 per referral if they also buy the yearly premium membership or $23.50 per referral if they become a premium member for a month.

I don't think the free training is available in Philippians but you can go premium from the start and commit.

If you have specific questions or need help, please don't hesitate to ask me ;)

I am just afraid that I might be scammed by those wealthy affiliate sites that offer training and other form of encouragement since it would dealing some membership fee which I had never tried before.

Wealthy Affiliate is definitely not a scam. I have been with them over a year and learned a lot about affiliate marketing, how to build a proper website and monetize it. You can find a lot of reviews online.
I'm 100% sure WA is not a scam ;)

Well thanks for sharing to me your idea and experiences on wealthy affiliate site. How much is the possible income that I can make in that site? Can you give me some idea?

That completely depends on you and the amount of work you do. I't not a "get rich quick scheme" so it takes time to do the training and put your skills to work. If your niche is popular and you know what you are doing and stay focused you can start making money quickly but if you expect money from doing nothing then it won't work out for you.

If you not sure, you can create a free account and stay as a free member as long as you like and keep 2 free websites to work on. There is really nothing to lose here. Unfortunately some countries are not legible for the free account for security purposes but if you are able to start a free account then go for it ;)

I know that this is a legit site but unfortunately it is not available in the Philippines. This is the first site I tried when I started finding ways to earn money online.

There is no information about internet marketing, SEO and whatever you want, that cannot be found for free online, you just have to search it on Google, and blogs and forums will give you everything you need at no cost. The difference with training courses is that is well put together and people get more serious about learning making money online because they paid that piece of information. And they start study, still not everybody that buy that course makes money, not everyone will be successful, lot's of efforts and investments are to be made and believe me people who come from offline world are very hesitant on investing and risking cash online, I was the same, or look at you, honestly, how many ideas you had and you did not invest cash because at the same time you were thinking is not gonna work?

That is a really excellent point! I tried that some years ago with a blog that just ran dead. Had no clue. I spent many hours trawling the net with YouTube vids and articles and really I was just getting more lost. The benefit of such programs, in my opinion, is that it makes you aware of the things you did not know you did not know - does that make sense? I did not know where to begin. I did not know what "indexing your website in Google" meant, or how to do it. I did not know how to apply SEO - I read articles and videos, but many online people want to speak at length and then say "sign up here". So, The benefit of such programs is that it lays it out for you. For me, I needed that. I really needed to be baby-stepped through everything because I just worked on sites, factories and all these ideas were new to me.

But also, there is quick help at this platform as well. Saves a lot of time and actually lots of frustration. It has its faults like people spending all day in Live Chat to give help for the Ambassador Badge - and sometimes, their help is to poor to be called help. But, they are only few like that.

Yeah true - great community and you learn much from them.

I have read many times about this site, but never joined it,because the invested sum of cash that is required to do it,is pretty high. Some members have wrote positive reviews about it,but I am still not convinced to join it.

You can try the free trial for a week and keep a free account for as long as you like, you won't have the benefits of the premium account but you will still have access to the platform and a free website. It's worth it just to learn the basics.
However keep in mind that once you upgrade you will never be able to go back to the free account and you will have to pay a monthly subscription to stay premium to use the platform.
That's the only catch so if you know this you can take full advantage of the free training and get a free website running.

I have the same feeling as you. I have seen quite a few different people giving glowing reviews of it but I did try it out for free. I'm not sure about it really especially because of the required investment like you said. I feel that people are giving good reviews because they need you to join the program to make them money.

Oh,I see what are you referring at,if I remember correctly, there is a higher earnings possibility,if you are referring members to Wealthyaffiliate and even higher if your refs will upgrade their accounts.

I am not fond of bashing programs like this, but for people who's currently considering to upgrade their membership on wealthy affiliate, I think you should at least take a peek at these two reviews first:

sitesell.com/blog/2017/05/wealthy-affiliate-review.html

crajun.com/affiliate-marketing-articles/problem-wealthy-affiliate/

Sure, they have a lot of positive reviews; but are those reviews are truly written by pleased consumers? That's up for debate. Most of reviews are written by members of WA themself. They also bashed all kinds of online money making method/programs/ecourse out there, before enticing people to joins WA. This shows that they somewhat desperate to get some refferals themself. I don't like this kind of promotion. I've also read on reddit that some of their courses are outdated and you can finds everthing that WA offers of multiple affiliate marketing forums/discussion boards--free of charge.

Exactly.
Wealthy affiliate is a scummy company. They give members a list of 150 programs to review negatively so they can promote wealthy affiliate instead.
Personally I never bothered after my initial sign up because the only way to make money with them is to sucker other people into joining wealthy affiliate themselves.
As far as company they are pretty bad and dont really care for the money making niche.
They dont care if you make money, they just want to sell their overpriced services you can get for free or a few dollar elsewhere.

Exactly.

That is completely untrue.
I was with Wealthy Affiliate over a year before I left and no one EVER encouraged me to write negative reviews about any other company and I did not see any "list". Can you show proof of this or elaborate please?
Their affiliate program is something completely extra, it is not the main focus however. The main focus is to show you how to build your own brand, website and online business from scratch. Inviting others to WA and earning commission from referrals is completely optional.
Maybe it's not the best system online but they certainly don't deserve a bashing from someone who doesn't even understand what their objectives are.
I have no vested interest to promote this company anymore since I left at the start of 2018 so just speaking honestly as a x-member with over 1 year experience.

Congrats to your positive experience from the WA.It is good really even after leaving the site, you are content with what you have learned there.I do not have any opinion about WA,as I was never a member of it,because the price seemed expensive to me.

The owner of Evergreen Wealth made a detailed summary with lots of evidence.
james-scholes.com/evergreen-wealth-formula-review/

Wealthy affiliate sued people that write negative reviews:
pacermonitor.com/public/case/21195091/Niche_Marketing,_Inc_v_Lenney_et_al

Everyone who makes money with affiliates know to stay away from Wealthy affiliate.
They have a bad reputation online.

"They certainly don't deserve a bashing from someone who doesn't even understand what their objectives are". Pardon me?
I know their objectives, that is to get as many members to upgrade to premium and shill Wealthy affiliate to other people.
"Their affiliate program is completely extra". Sure, that is why the site is called Wealthy affiliate.

The fact you left the program tells enough, which is that it didn't supplement your income enough to keep going with it.
I think this conversation is done, and I showed the facts that Wealthy affiliate is a scummy company.
They arent a scam, because they do pay out when you get paying referrals, but the chances are that 99% doesnt even get 1 paying referral, especially not at these exorbitant prices.

why most WA affiliates never say you must buy into the training from the start, they just keep promoting like its free. Then suddenly you must pay to continue and then earn?
