I see webmasters literally crying on forums, SEO is dead, my sites removed from Google, lost traffic, I can't feed my family because of Google, *uck Google, I declare war to Google etc...

Today 23 February 2016, what is your forecast on SEO?

I believe big corporations/companies will dominate first page on Google by the end of 2016, all little fellows like me and you will remain with dust in the *ucking eyes. What we can do to overcome if this happen?

There are people that say that seo is dead and that the social media was what killed it. I don't agree I don't see how one will replace the other. I think both will be used in conjunction to help drive traffic.

Google is just making richest people should be rich and the Poorer should be the poorest person. Some of them getting traffic without doing any Seo to their websites although we are not sure what will be the future and the Pagerank is already dead so no chance for the newbies or new sites to get ranked in the IT Industry.

I think SEO has just changed. It is definitely not what it used to be and to rank high in search engines like Google, you need to change your SEO strategies as well. So this 2016, here are some tips I can give you regarding SEO:

1. Backlinks. Back then, backlinks within the same niche is fine and can certainly get you a high rank in Google. Now, backlinks need to be in different niches to rank higher in Google.

2. Why your content matters? Your content matters because with good quality content, the chances that people will bounce off your site is lower. So if you have good quality articles, it's unlikely that people will scan and your site and leave immediately. A high bounce rate can affect your ranking in Google.

3. Speed of your site. Now this one Google announced is certainly part of their algorithm. So make use of softwares to make your site load as quickly as possible.

Google's goal is to provide those who use their search engines only the most relevant results. They're [rumors have it] creating AI that will render SEO useless because it will find exactly what the person using the search engine is looking for.

However before AI takes over, SEO will be the only webmasters can make their sites more visible in the search engines. That's why I believe SEO is not dead yet.

As for getting better rankings, I think we should follow Google's advice. Create quality content and the search engines will send you traffic.

Social media seems to be a big deal with SEO ranking nowadays. On top of that, I think the content should be excellent and always updated. Note, again I want to emphasize that the content should be attractive because Google might be looking for websites that are so good that people are looking them up via the engine. As far as I'm concerned SEO isn't dead, it's just changed beyond all recognition. One of the problems as I see it is that it became a secret that all of a sudden everybody knew about and so we all jumped on board and that almost forced Google's hand into changing it. Sadly for us 'smaller people', the changes made have increased the influence that the larger corporations have now, and while SEO will still work for us, we'll be lucky to make the bottom of page 3 if we're lucky!

I have to agree with you @Jason76 and Google did need to do something to stop what was going on. As with anything, there are always people that abuse the system and spoil it for everyone else, and that's exactly what was happening with SEO. It wasn't just the big sites that lost out, it was the reputable smaller ones also. Some may say that Google went to far and changed too much, but at the end of the day if people didn't abuse the system in the first place then that wouldn't have happened.

Authority sites are replacing the SEO. And small data is being shown in the google. So you are pretty much losing the traffic if you only do SEO for google. I'd say you need to have personal content. And you have to focus on being some sort of brand and authority. That seems to be the way for the future of the SEO.

it's all your mistake buddy , because you made your life / career relying on Google , always being depending on the same income source is a mistake , because nothing is permanent in this life , and you can't guarantee that something will stand longer .
