❓ASK What will happen to altcoins if Bitcoin reaches $100,000?

If Bitcoin becomes $100,000, what will happen to altcoins? Will altcoins become more expensive too? Or will they become cheaper?

Some people think altcoins will also become more expensive because new money will come into crypto. Others worry that people will use money to buy only Bitcoin instead of altcoins. So altcoins may become cheaper compared to Bitcoin.

What do you think? Will altcoins become much more expensive or stay about the same or become cheaper?

I want to hear different opinions on this. Will altcoins go up with Bitcoin or go down? I think many people have different ideas about what will happen.

The entire cryptocurrency ecosystem experiences manipulation so I don't there will be any big deal other than Bitcoin will face more criticism especially from the United States Government and other altcoins will also rise predominantly.
The manipulation can work both ways - take altcoins up or down. But it can work in other patterns as well.

From experience, the crypto market almost moves in tandem. When Bitcoin boosts up in price, Altcoins follow suit even if it is slightly. If Bitcoin reaches $100,000, Altcoins like BCH might hover around $150 and others would boost up too.

When the price of Bitcoin is high, it also affect other altcoins as they will also experience increments also. So when the price of Bitcoin gets to $100,000 it will not have any negative effects on other altcoins. Some people would prefer to purchase altcoins when the price of Bitcoin are going higher...

If Bitcoin reaches $100,000, Ethereum might be somewhere around $3000. For sure, I know that LTC, BCH, Matic and most conventional crypto would increase at varying rates. I don't know if meme coins would also boost. They may boost with very little margins.

One good thing about the cryptocurrency market is that when Bitcoin price is rising, all other altcoins are also rising too. Most people will eventually resort to buying and trading with other altcoins that their prices are relatively cheaper...

Bitcoin at a 100k would be most favourable to most of the top alt coins. One thing also is the fact that several coins are bound to enter the market just because of that and it makes it much easier to mislead newbies on choices of projects to invest in.

Nkw that Bitcoin is in the range of $30,000, Ethereum is in the range of $1200. If Bitcoin should reach $100,000, if you use the same ratio now to guess. That would mean Ethereum would hover around $4000 and BCH might be up to $500

Although based on my observation , I am sure that many altcoin would actually boost too if Bitcoin. could actually reach that range , there would be a positive spike in some better performing altcoins too

That's just it. The US government will continue to see Bitcoin as a threat notminding how well it does.

This will take Bitcoin out of the reach of the small investors. And there will be force in the market on the altcoins to also increase their prices. Therefore to utilize the moment, investing in altcoins should be encouraged.

The interesting part is that if bitcoin price can reach 100,000 dollars there is every possibility that most of the altcoins will have their prices increased by more than 200% which will be a win-win situation for crypto investors.

Since Bitcoin is the major system controlling all forms of decentralized mechanism, when there's scarcity on Bitcoin it will also affect the price of others coin. If Bitcoin get to $100,000 others coins like Litecoin get reach $200 or more than that depending on market capitalization.

That's true and every other coins will follow. It will be more profitable to invest in smaller coins when situation show up because the coins in cents can have a 1000% rise in value compare to bigger coins.

The cryptocurrency market is a free market, people are not only trading on Bitcoin only. If the price of Bitcoin gets so high other altcoins will benefit tremendously as more people would rather purchase them as they are cheaper..

Some altcoins are formed out of bitcoin, example is bitcoin cash (BCH) so it is most likely that if the price of bitcoin increases, the price of altcoins will also increase too, because they go hand in hand, it's just like saying bitcoin controls or determines the price, if the price of bitcoin reduces, so will also the price of some altcoins reduce.

Meme coins do not really obey Bitcoin. May be because most of them do not use the same network as Bitcoin. However, there is always increment whenever there is tremendous increment in the price of Bitcoin.

I have noticed that too about meme coins, they do not obey bitcoin at all and I also do think it's because they are built differently.
Even when there's a tremendous rise in the price of bitcoin, they sometimes don't even move an inch upwards

If bitcoin hits $100000, it is going to create a positive effect for the altcoins because it will potentially attract more investors which will definitely explore the other coins in the cryptocurrency market as well. This is the scenario.

If bitcoin reach $100,000, it will definitely lead to an increased confidence in the overall crypto market because bitcoin is the leading cryptocurrency and it will prompt investors to diversify into other altcoins because they want to seek additional opportunities.
