A good way to go viral is also to go or should I say flow with the trend. Take note of the latest happenings like you have said. Like in my country, almost every month, one new thing come up. It could be a catch phrase or a new dance or one thing or the other. The hashtags you make use of as well also plays a major role on how far the video would go as well.
