US Kids has two magazines to write content, crafts, poetry, and photography for. They are Humpy Dumpy and Jack and Jill. Yes, this is a US based firm, but they do accept content for anyone who wants to send it to them. They have published articles, poetry and other types of crafts and recipes from around the world.

Here are the requirements to write for them:

1. Remember your audience is children. So when writing for children you need to write articles that are appropriate for children and never talk down to them.
2. For the two magazines the material you write should start at a basic level and include some sparkling and advanced information.
3. The stories you write should include a broad range so that children from around the world and the US can relate to them.
4. They want up to date characters that appear to today's children.
5. Writing for children is the same as writing for adults. You need to develop your character and be familiar with current market trends and quality children's literature.

Here's what they pay for Humpy Dumpy:

1. Fiction story needs to be 450 words or less and they $30 and up for the story.
2. Poetry is 4 to 12 lines only and they pay $25 and up for each poetry they accept.
3. Craft for children pay $40 and up. You need to make sure the crafts are not too expensive, easy for young children to do with supervision, and the want a photo of the finished craft.
4. If you have a great story that can build a book they accept 70 to 125 words only. I don't know what they pay for this.

Here's what they pay for at Jack and Jill ages 6 - 12:

1. Fiction - they are looking for full manuscripts 600 to 800 words long. They pay $25 and up for the manuscripts.
2. Nonfiction manuscripts need to be 700 words or less. They pay $25 and up for the manuscripts.

Check the site, read the rules of submission and send in your article to the company.

Has anyone ever written for this site. I think it would be fun if you like to write short children's pieces of poetry or short stories. I you have children and make inexpensive crafts this would be a great place to send them.

On any site such as this, once they accept your work they pay your for it. You don't need to request anything. Haven't you ever written for a site like this before.

It says he only needs between 70 to 125 words only. I think this would be great if she wants to try this.
