The UNICEF is now funding start ups by using cryptocurrency. There is a total of 8 companies that are being invested in, ranging over the course seven countries. these companies are aiming to help mitigate the impact of the covid-19 virus, and have previously received $100,000 from funding from the UNICEF and are now looking to increase this further with the funding being in terms of crypto, i..e 150 ETH.

The cryptocurrency amount of 125 ETH translates to roughly 28 thousand dollars. UNICEF has noted that the use of crypto has actually been quite beneficial to them as they were able to transfer all of the funds to the respective countries in around 20 minutes, with it only costing them around 20 dollars in transaction fees, with the funded countries including, Argentina, Mexico and Turkey.

This in itself shows huge potential for crypto in the future.

YAY! finally it's being a more common thing to use, i hope it becomes something that's officially supported by local banks and stuff, so it gets more regulated!

That would be great if bitcoin and other crypto became more supported by local banks because then that would also increase the number of vendors that make use of bitcoin and i think that as a result this will also promote use. At the moment there is a very limited number of stores that actually accept bitcoin and other crypto.

Glad to see even more widespread use of cryptocurrency in the world level. Not to mention, it's supported by none other than UNICEF. I hope this can help people who are suffering because of COVID.

Yes that is what i am hoping as well. I think that since they are now accepting crypto donations as well, that they are opening themselves up to many more potential donators and there are a lot of people who have benefited greatly from crypto, so i hope that they take part in this and donate as well.

Am happy to see that international organisation are using bitcion to make contribution on this pandemic it will really improve knowledge on bitcion
very true and it will also open up the floor to new investors as well such as those that made it rich with crypto because they will be able to invest in this as well which could be very very useful.

A lot of people already know about bitcoin and cryptocurrency, they won't adopt them simply because the price fluctuation and association it has with criminal cyberworld. Unless these two problem get solved somehow, I don't see it's widespread usage anytime soon.

No wonder ETH has been on the rise recently, this is a big one for us the Crypto lovers, no doubt country will join the raise sonnest , convenience and reduction of transaction fee is a plus to Crypto currency.

Yeah I love to see when crypto are been used for transaction like this , and I hope more companies use it also , instead of using only bitcoin is good they popularize others

Sure when bitcoin is accepted other coins will follow the trend because they are all crypto currency though I wish the inflow of new coins can be control.

I am not sure if there can be regulations now because it is now seen as big business to launch a coin if eventually the cost n becomes very popular.

Maybe a body or an organization can be formed to checkmate those incoming new coin and regulate it , and even educate and enlighten the people on the danger of investing in the coin they know nothing about

It may be possible but the tendency is very low because everyone mind his or her business in the crypto currency world. The number of airdrop is alarming.

If one high personnel or popular crypto individual brings that suggestion others might follow , or exchange sites should stop accepting new coin that isn't regulated by a trusted company or body

These are possible solution to the problem, if top coin exchangers don't accept them I am sure this will reduce the influx of new coin. Binance can lead the trend.

if only they can stop it things would be better , only that most of those new coin company do pay some of those popular exchange sites to get their coin on their site

This Crypto currency project is a big business that yield good results for people who knows how to play their card so the inflow of new coins might be continuous.

No doubt about this. This is going to be revolutionary and totally beneficial to a great number of audience. UNICEF, right step in the right direction. Hopefully more acclaimed world wide bodies will follow suit.

Excitement on the part that such a huge organization is embracing the cryptocurrency trend. But really? You want regulation of cryptocurrency? Really?
I think if it is decentralized to allow room for trading but enforce KYC is necessary to limit all criminal activities ongoing daily in Crypto currency.
