I believe is just pure marketing and the domain will never be sold in the end. Time will tell!

If the minimum offer is just $100 million and there are still a couple more months for the offer to expire, then we may see $500m and above as the final offer.

I think we will have the opportunity to test whether this domain name will be sold over time. Given the starting price of the auction, let's see where this amount will go up and if it will actually be sold, who will buy it?

Who has the funds to pay such a price. How will they get a return of such an amount if it reaches starting price? I cannot see how even by monetising a web site with that domain you could get that sum returned. Perhaps a buyer will buy as an investment in the hope it will increase in value.

Wow . First , the offer for $100 million is quite a bold one ,but then being able to buy such domain ,and with a plan for it , one can recover the amount withing two years.
