Mr. B since you updated all the new features on the forum and changed the colors around the website no longer checks the URL before you log in or come here. The site is now opened again for attack and this should be addressed immediately. Normally the site will time out and check the IP address again before it will allow me to comment or even post if I haven't been here for 30 minutes or longer. The last few days I don't need to do this and I can leave the forum open and come and go with no special checking of the IP address.

It's much better this way. We still get fairly good protection from Cloudflare as their servers are still in the way (I see that BMF uses Cloudflare from the metadata on the SSL cert) so while our protection is perhaps a little less, we're still protected from DDoS and other attacks.
However, if necessary, you could use page rules to only apply protection to the registration form to prevent bots entering, but then again, you could just use a captcha.

It's a really great improvement! Am already used to personally refreshing pages after long moment of inactivity and i don't mind doing this.
So if new improvement can lead to more DDOS attack, let's go back to our old ways cause a ten seconds refresh is better than an offline server
