❓ASK Success with Selling Products on Etsy?

My friends who do well on Etsy are those who make valuable products and have retail skills. Etsy provides the platform, transaction capability, and a small amount of traffic. But that is just like a normal shop front provides all those things. And yet people open shop fronts all the time and go broke within 6 months. The only difference is that the unsuccessful Etsy store owner will probably just lose a few dollars to a few hundred dollars, not thousands.

My Aunt is selling soaps on Etsy. She have a Youtube channel were she makes soap making recipes and at the bottom of her videos, she puts a link to her Etsy store. People around the world where buying her soaps even if the shipping is not reasonable. Yes it is profitable if you know how to market.

I have an etsy and i have only made a few sales there, but i get tons of favorites to my items and shop favorites. But is kind of hard making sales there, i think its mainly because i do not have 100+ items in my shop which would generally get you more traffic and sales because people tend to purchase from more well stocked shops than empty. Also i do not know much about SEO and backlinking etc. I think proper SEO would also contibute to sales ocurring more often, but thats just my take on this.

I've wanted to open up an Etsy store to sell my 3d printed knick knacks. Unfortunately I haven't gotten around to learning how to do 3D printing yet.

I do wonder though...do people sell on Etsy and on Ebay as well? I would imagine everything you can sell on Etsy would be able to be sold on Ebay as well.

Definitely! I do it. I have more of my items listed on Etsy though as Ebayers tend to be cheap and don't want to pay the real price for the work handmade sellers like myself make. But you can definitely sell on both.

Never heard about Etsy and looked the site that has items for worldwide. I may give a try, but afraid of he shipping fees, Custom charges that are need to pay by me.
China is the another opposite country as their rates are very competition even the custom, shipping fees low.

I used to have an Etsy store and sold beads and sewn items on there, but went through a rough patch in life and ended up quitting. I was thinking of starting my shop up again because I did manage to make some fun money, but noticed things have changed a lot. Any Etsy Sellers around here I can ask a few questions to?

I have some friends who are earning well in Etsy. I never tried selling there though. But you can promote your products to setting up a blog about it, and also putting them as part of affiliate links.

I recently joined Etsy and I am planning to sell some crafts on there. You can for sure ask the questions and I will be glad to help you. I hope that you can start selling on there again.

I think to sell products or goods. We have ebay and old here. They are very good websites and even We like to check those websites on daily basis to get good deals

Sure,is a legit site,my friend that introduced me to online earning has shops in most marketplaces and Esty is one of them. She makes some good sales from there. So if you're interested just research more because I dont really know how it works but for you're good to go.

I heard a lot about the selling products on etsy. But I find it a bit difficult. On that note I guess I have to see how thaat it can be risky if that is the only job. I would say one needs to be working on small things. it may take time there.

I have an account in etsy and I haven't played with it much yet.

Here's my idea.

Copy and paste pictures from ebay(with sellers permission to resell) to etsy and when a costumer in etsy purchases my product that's when I purchase in ebay and send the item to the buyer's address.

Has anyone done this before in etsy?

I have a uncle who deal on esty. He sells electronics and what I noticed from him is that he looks for few partners to allign his business with in order to earn him traffic as though he sell quality products.

You have just perfectly described drop-shipping :)
This can be done but there are a lot of factors to consider.
I have a lot of experience with drop-shipping on eBay and BidorBuy but you need to plan this out properly and find products below retail price to make a decent profit or living.
You are also liable if anything goes wrong so make sure you sell from a trusted and long term supplier.
A better method you can use is EPN (eBay Partner Network) and you simply find hot products on eBay copy the url to your EPN account (they give you a tab where to insert the links) and convert it to your affiliate link, then share this link on your Website, Blog or Social Media and you won't have to stress about liability and ratings etc.
If you need help getting started I have an EPN article on my website in detail.

I found it thoughtful and educative. So I'll be glad if you can forward the necessary materials available for my further research and findings. Thank you

Hi, I'm thinking of opening a store on there and I plan on selling ready-to-wear for women and children using indigenous fabrics (Ankara).

My confusion is how to ship these products out if I do get sales. Would you happen to know any delivery company that does worldwide deliveries? Did a google search and couldn't come up with a good one.

Would very much appreciate the information. Thanks.

it's not difficult but it's important to have high-quality product photos that accurately represent your items. Also make sure your prices are competitive and your descriptions are clear and concise. Then be active in the Etsy community by following and interacting with other sellers.

Spend money on high-quality product photography. The ability to draw potential customers can be significantly improved by using high-resolution images with good lighting. Create product titles and descriptions that are thorough and keyword-rich. To increase the visibility of your products in Etsy's search results, use pertinent tags.
