Shutterstock is a stock photography company. Normally you get paid when someone downloads your photo. I joined this site some months back but unfortunately my photos were rejected. I took those photos with a good camera but still I was unsuccessful. There are a number of things that I need to work on. Have you ever used Shutterstock? Were you successful over there?

Has anyone had any experience selling their photography to websites such as getty images or shuttershock?

Looking into selling my photography to earn a little extra cash.
I have not sell photos before but my friends have said good things about shooters.com and it should be one of the oldest site for photo selling

I have been aiming to buy my own DSLR for several reasons. One is to have my own photos and videos to my blog. Second, to earn from uploading photos. I already knew that Shutterstock is one of the best online sites when it comes to buying and selling photos. I hope to be able to save enough amount for this project.

Shutterstocks.com is a great place to sell or buy stock images,if you have really nice photos you could upload them there and sell on their royalty free and editorial.just submit 10 photographs so that atleast 7 will be accepted and it should be in JPEG format and you will start making money.

Never practised that before but this site has got full of such sites maybe you'll check in and actually there are a lot of paid to upload sites only that have never tried.

There are 2 different apps for Shutterstock. You have one app just called Shutterstock and the second one is called Shutterstock Contributor.

If you want to contribute and upload images for pay, you'll need to use the second app. The other app is basically for searching and downloading some images. I had to take a closer look at this one to see which one was the one that you can make money from. The two apps are basically the same but the contributor app is for checking on your images, uploading them and seeing how much you've earned in your account. The second app also needs you to create an account on it. However, the company is a royal pain when you create your account. You'll need to supply them with the proof that you are who you say you are. Then they will add you to the contributor section and you can now start making money.

All US citizen must supply the company with a W9 form. If you live outside the US the company will tax your withdrawals a 30% tax. They are claiming this must go the the Government. But a 30% tax is way too high unless you are paying the NY state tax and the Federal tax in one deduction. The company doesn't tell you what tax you are being charged. Normally anyone living outside of the US is never taxed in the US when they make money. So this is not a fair price they deduct from your earning. Furthermore, anyone living outside the US doesn't fall under the law that you must report your earning from any company that is over $600. Non US citizen don't need to report their earning to anyone, unless the country you live in requires you to do so.

I'm on this site. My first couple photo were rejected, but i finally got quite a bit approved. So far I have made .50 cents. .25 cents for each photo that has been downloaded.

I also applied to this site like 4 months ago but was rejected. They advise to re upload better quality photos but I didn't have the time to edit those photos so I failed to re upload them. Those photos are taken from my Iphone 5s and those photos we're taken from Antarctica. I though that not a lot of people are being able to capture photos on that place so I uploaded them to shutterstock. If I am just good in editing photos I will re apply to this site.

Im surprised that shuttershock is paying! what im Only Doing thier is to Borrow Free photos beacuse of my job ! and the Same with pixabay! thanks for sharing these oppurtunity ! maybe i would try shuttershocks as my other source of online earnings!
