Generally, there is no business for a particular gender as both gender can take up any business based on passion. But the society has succeeded in apportion business based on gender. This is why it will look odd seeing a woman driving a truck or seeing a man engaging in hair dressing.
Though, civilization has changed this notion as there is no or low gender restriction on business these days. What is your take? Should we consider gender while setting up a business or not?

No I don't think that a business should be chooson base on gender because nowadays but male and female do everything almost the same then in this kinda situation I think that a business should be chooses base on skills and not base on gender this is my stand .

I think with this civilization mode ,I actually don't think there should be any form of segregation and others when choosing the gender that should work for a particular business , I think when given the opportunity with the right guidance the other may even thrive better than the other ,that's why I think there shouldn't be segregation in such

You are right with your analysis. Civilization has drastically change and no body is seeing one job as a male or female job again rather for any body who can do it.
It has gotten to a stage where some one like female start doing some work that people do see as men works before like Mechanics .
One should not determine the work that children will be doing for them rather allow them to choose for them self because its good that they choose with passion rather than forcing them in this era.

With the comments of most people, I think business should be determined by passion and skill rather than by gender. So, it is not a big deal if a male chooses to be nanny and starts to baby sit children? I think this would sound so strange and funny.

I think businesses should be chosen based on gender. There are businesses that are mainly dominated by the masculine gender while some businesses are dominated by the feminine gender one tends to thrive when he or she chooses the right business.
For example, in my country of residence businesses like hair saloon, restaurant etc. are dominated by the feminine gender while businesses like car spare parts, building materials etc. are mainly for the masculine gender

i meet my ex wife when i was driving trucks. she was also driving big rigs. we meet, hooked up & were married. she was a pretty good driver, a very safe driver. but when we had arguments, it was hell living together in the same small truck until up we kissed & made up. woman are a lot better than men in certain skills. like multi tasking. women also make very good pilots, because of their good multi tasking skills. it doesnt matter what gender you are, its about your qualifications & passion for you job that you have.

also, this crap that women still get paid less than men when they do the same job has to quit. in this day & age, for this to be happening still is absurd !!!!!

Business should be decided based on skills and experience. Gender no longer relevant in many countries. Though, maybe certain jobs are better to be handled by one of the gender, like working in construction or in dangerous environment like a war zone should be handled by men.

Definitely, this can be attributed to the location. In my country, no matter passion or skill you have for a particular bhsiness, you just cannot do it because of your gender. I am a Nigerian and one of the most trending businesses among women is selling of cooked foods. I cannot imagine men doing this. It looks and sounds so feminism.

Well, some kind of business are gender biased and that is fact.
A man does auto mechanic work or run a carpenter shed and we are all comfortable, the moment a lady takes suit alot of motivational quote will accompany the pictures,it will fly round the internet.
But when it comes to white collar job we should all be in the same category.

Actually gender should not play a role when choosing a business, rather it should be what you can do well. However this is not always the case. Besides society stigmatism and stuffs, there are some jobs that are not fit for women. Their health and physical capacity can not handle those jobs. So it is best to stick to what is within your power, and this applies to men too.

I will like to know from your last sentence which of the job a woman can do that a man can't.
Women just have this preferential advantage in any organization.
Most of the difficult task in an organization are decided by the male folks and you will see how they sideline the ladies.

Personally I feel there is no gender based business, if you are sure you can do it then go for it. As long as you know what you are going into. Though I know for a fact that there are certain kind of business or jobs most persons classify as a job ment for the female gender or for the male gender but I don't think it should be done that way.

Depends on your business. If you are going to sell make up,you wont search a target group men , right ? Or if you are going to sell beard cutter you wont target women.. Everything must be selective on your business target public. If you are going through business outside of online and not market targeted,like some company then you dont need to target gender. Well to some levels not the type of examples you made up their. Business like barbing and hair dressing should not be consider as gender business because its never written anywhere that this businesses being to one particular gender. As long its solves a problem then its should not be consider a gender business.

There is no doubt that there are some businesses that woman cannot do or let me say women are not so attracted to simply because its requires lots of physical energy. Examples of such is the automobile industry. The men dominated this industry and very few women could be seen there.

Really - it's odd to see a male hairdresser?!? That in itself is odd because the most famous and successful hairdressers are male! Likewise, cooking is traditionally considered a woman's job but the most successful Michelin starred celebrity chefs are male. I personally don't think jobs should be gender-based. If you have the passion, ability and drive, do YOU. Follow your heart and do whatever it is that makes your heart sing, regardless of what society dictates.
