Without any intros, let's get straight to the topic :

1-Fake promises (Join and get, invite your friend and get, click here for ) : i have noticed a lot and a lot of people promoting such bullsh*t literally everywhere, even in facebook comments, they claim they got 5000$ worth of BTC from a telegram bot or they ask you to pm me some dude ( that they claim he's a hacker ) for money in paypal .

2-Too many beginners : (unfortunately they are victims that still don't know that internet is full of scammers or not aware of that), and those beginners themselves help promoting the scams everywhere thinking they will win something . (remember, don't share your email with anyone who claims he'll send you money, money isn't easy and nobody will pay you from his own wallet).

3-No Pain, No Gain : which means, without having a skill or a service that you can offer, you won't be earning that much from internet, all you're going to earn would be like extra cash (beermoney), that what pushes people to believe everything and what also can attract newbies, because at the end they won't work in a website that pays 0.0001$ per ad and leave the "X" website that pays you 500$ for every friend you invite ;)

If you have any other reason that contributes in the popularity of scam websites/apps, post them below, so we can work together to eliminate them all at once !

I think the simple answer to this is that scam websites have more " promised" rewards or returns than ordinary legit websites though scam the people are really attracted to those high returns which also they disregard the risks involve

You are right and it is so unfortunate that the victims fail to realize that pretending that there is no risk does not in any way remove the risks involved.

I was offered a good deal by a scam group on telegram just recently, if not for the intervention of my girlfriend I would have invested in the group cos I was introduced to the group by a Facebook friend

Scam sites are everywhere because people want to gain a lot while putting in little or no effort.... someone would want to $100 just for doing nothing and unfortunately things don't work that way... you must put in work before you get paid
You're absolutely right! Many of the people who fall prey to scams look at legitimate sites that pay beer money rates and don't want to know. Because they want to earn riches overnight, they jump at the chance to work with these scammy sites, only to be stung.

Because scammers think that, if they create legitimate website for earning opportunity, they can't make the money faster. Their essence of engaging their time more in creating fake sites is the ability to earn faster.
The fact is that creating a legit site requires that the site owner has standby fund with which he will pay site users. It is lack of funds that makes them turn scam

Because scams tends to offer higher and more tempting promotions. They also invests in ads. For example the Earning apps you play tend to have a lot of other Earning games ads.

As for the websites.. they tend to do promotion that requires users to promote their websites , like high referral rewards but high Minimum to withdraw. Such as Gramfree for example.

Those of us who are familiar with the internet in the early 1990s-2000s must have received tantalizing email offers of millions of US dollars. This scam is known as Nigerian Spam or Nigerian spam. Because a lot of internet crimes are spam e-mails committed by Nigerians. This is rampant in an era when the number of email users, especially Yahoo, is on the rise.

That's true about scam sites and why people fall to them. Another one that made people fall victim of this kind of sites that make fake promises, is having that tendency to make money so fast.

A scam is a situation where the perpetrator tricks the victim into providing numeric codes or personal information (mostly for urgent reasons) so that the perpetrator can access the victim's personal account. Meanwhile, fraud is a situation in which the perpetrator steals personal information without the victim's knowledge. In this case, there are many scam cases that cannot be followed up by the bank (or online payment application) because the victim is considered "involved" in providing information - even if it was done accidentally.

Scam sites usually have a high rates for earning and because of that, people tend to believe this, in hopes to earn better. Especially if one is a beginner and have little knowledge about scam sites.

The high prizes that are promised to be given and the thought that these awards can be accessed effortlessly.
Scammers on one side, ambition to win on the other.
Result = Lose

One of the real cyber threats today is a phishing attack, which is a fraudulent e-mail in the name of an official organization and scamming.

First of they are popular because they advertise alot than legit in which they offer greed, by which people attracted as a group of fire fly, and then the people's traffic make it popular.

Just this week I discovered via Facebook a site that sells clothes that could have been made for me at very reasonable prices. I was already planning on buying truckloads of clothes from the site but decided to read the comments under their sponsored ad. Oh my, let's just say I definitely won't be shopping with them LOL Apparently, they steal pictures off other sites and what they send buyers it is nothing like the pictures?

Of course, anything that sounds too good will entice you to want to be part of it but in most cases, it's not true. So the scams are good at working on your psychology so that you give in. So you have to exercise due diligence before accepting anything.

That's just the fact, they are giving out what people wish to earn at a very simple way in which the gullible ones are yet to discover that no free money on the internet.

And we the people are too greedy and lazy hence looking at such an opportunity we then want to believe that we can make money in such way. A lot of newbies have fallen victim to scammers because of not being well informed.
