Since 2021, crypto related activities have been banned in Nigeria. But of recent, the apex bank of Nigeria under the acting chairman, had directed financial institutions to unfreeze all the accounts of the citizens that were banned for crypto related activities.

Though this, order is just coming out today, there may be compliance from banks later in the nearest days.

You know how we Nigerians do our things almost to look like abusing things. If not for the ban, you would have heard some family asking for bride price in Bitcoin. Lol...... The ban was meant to limit not to gag the entire crypto ecosystem. If they wanted to, they would have issued a no access directive to crypto exchanges with Nigerian IP addresses like they did to Twitter some years ago.
Yea true, baning cryptocurrency in Nigeria didn't allow a lot of people to learn about it, immediately you mentioned cryptocurrency some people think you're a scammer. It's like government is covering some methods of making money of the youths.

I wondered why it was actually banned in the first place , because it actually even affected the currency's value ,but am glad that things are actually now changing to some certain extent
Sometimes the government of many nations like to have control over everything, so whatever they feel they can't control over, they try to stop it, or when they detect that such thing will pose as a threat to them, they will surely try to stop it or ban it as the case may be.

The way the inflation rate is biting so hard on the economy of many under developed and developing countries may enforce the government to allow cryptocurrency investments to trend legally to ease standard of living.

There is no way any government would make that happen. Take my country for instance. Our local currency is at a huge disadvantage against the dollar as it stands. Allowing crypto to be legal would make the demand for dollar to be one the increase which would further deplete the local currency further.

This is true Sha , the government like to control many things , so they actually try to ban it in different ways , Although banning crypto currency was actually a big problem because it made many in my country start demanding foreign currency to buy cryptocurrency

Honestly it's even long overdue, the administration that placed a ban all every cryptocurrency related activity are out of power, so it will be nice for the newly emerged government to unfreeze those affected accounts, let's keep hoping they get to act fast, because people have huge amount of money locked up in those frozen accounts, so the government should hurriedly do the needful.

I am very sure that the ban is probably limiting the development of cryptocurrency on a further dimensions , so removing the ban in the first place would be good for the development of cryptocurrency , the ban is actually the main ordeal problem

Unfreezing all crypto currency account in Nigeria will be a very welcome development.

Though we can not just listen to mere words from the government all what the citizens need is action.

Though it is a welcome development that also encourage your boys to participate more in crypto currency trading in which will be as a means of generating income.
